Wait to see if it actually works first. Microsoft don't seem to really understand the meaning of the word 'entice' when it comes to enticing players towards their own platforms.
With no SLI/XFire, V-Sync forced on, only Borderless Fullscreen and no FPS monitoring support! Oh, and no modding or ability to use Steam management/overlay! Now THAT'S what I call 'entice'..
Is it just more or does it still look worse than Project Cars? Mainly the bit at 20 seconds with the Audi LMP and then the Ariel, just doesn't look 'nice'.
https://youtu.be/BlkF0BIUcpc Things i would notice one game has working rear lights and spoiler the other does not. for the rest of the lap the tracks look near identical. AC has a much more accurate track due to the way they do the mapping which results in the additional writing on the road giving it a more realistic look. In a game all about realism these are big things for purists. Is either game better than whats come before I dont think they are. GTR2 was what I compare all race sims to and would still prefer to play it if it worked properly than either of these. Do own AC and Project Cars, AC in VR is something everyone should try.
Don't have SLI, haven't been scammed into buying a G-sync monitor, who plays in window mode?, no Steam overlay! What ever will i do with out it.... Its a free game! Stop bitching and moaning. Jesus Christ
Impatiences list reads a PC gamer Elitist only requirements. How many people actually care about SLI or CFX even on dedicated forums like this its not alot 1%? Vsync is on in most games learn to be a pc elitist and disable it using your nvidia or amd control panel. Fraps goes above every game ever made so no fps monitoring support is lol. As does EVGA monitoring / MSI tools and quiet a few others. No modding in a free game so be it. Steam overlay is rubbish so we can live without that anyway.
Rear lights work in both, just in pCars they're not as bright. pCars digitally mapped several tracks, (not sure about nurburgring, I know the UK tracks were laser scanned). Watching a recent lap video at the ring, it looks as though a lot of the writing that's in AC at the start isn't actually there in RL (I'd assume due to resurfacing). Should probably add I've not played AC, . I'm sure I'll have a go on F6 Apex, I'd never say no to another racing game on PC, thoroughly enjoyed Forza 3, 4 not so much as it just felt like a repeat, and Horizon 1 wasn't too bad, was a nice change from the regular Forza aspect.
going to have to say AC does look a little better to me, to the cars to track, but i think the out eviroment looks better with Pcars
Downloaded it last night and had a go, only did two races but it seemed pretty good. Graphics look nice, and I'm only on medium, did start to get some stuttering at the end of a race, but I'd not got SLI on after updating drivers so may have been that, seemed better with SLI on. Usual sort of Forza handling feel, maybe a little more real, not sure. I went straight in and turned off most assists, started with STM and ABS left on, but it was almost undriveable under braking, turned off ABS and STM and it was much better. AI looked quite good, although sometimes they'd slow down a bit too much when there's a big group of them. No visual tuning yet, there is mechanical tuning, although it looks like on most cars all you can adjust is the tyre pressures, I'll have to see if the higher end cars and race cars allow you to adjust more stuff.
That's up to the dev on a per game basis. Would not be a shock if they have tried to offer it as they want to sell future forza titles on PC and your not doing that with a broken game. From the 2 races I've done seems pretty good can not complain for free.
