completed the story, completed all the wings and level 30. all thats left now is the DZ and wait for the DLC
there is still a long way to go, im putting out about 50k DPS, but iv seem people with full high end gold / yellow gear putting out over 120k dps. at the moment i only have full purple.
I'm putting out 115k dps atm but im suffering with the annoying inventory bug which doesnt calculate dps properly. doesn't matter tho as i solo dz06 quite happily. I swear this game has completely sideswiped me, totally off my radar and is now vying for my GOTY 2016. An atmospheric Guild Wars with guns. its also pretty as **** to boot.
I started paying solo - should I just go with the flow and do all missions that come up? Is there a better plan?
That would be a good bet. More xp for doing the missions. The main missions give the most but you'll need to do sides to level up. I just wander around hoovering stuff up. The city is so lovely to wander, it's very enjoyable to stumble across things.
Cool, thanks, will have some play tonight. Sounds like its similar to Witcher - doing side missions will give us more xp loot etc. Cool
been watching some gameplay videos on twitch on this. It looks not bad, but think a pass for me, maybe pick up siege. The city does look very pretty tho
I am trying to do it solo first but finding the hospital bit difficult and that's on normal. Just really finding the game mechanics hard it may because of my keyboard very slow to respond when I'm moving in and out of cover.
If you can't find anyone to do the first missions with (either friends or matchmaking), you could try exploring the low level areas and collecting all the intel and doing the encounters. Get a bit over-levelled and try again. It's mainly how I've been doing it. I unlocked a thing that shows all intel on the map for an area when I clear all the encounters and side missions. Then I go back and do story missions later. Got to 18 so far. It's slow, but I have to force myself to play the game because I just don't find it very fun I would like to get to 30 to see what the end-game stuff is like though.
i was always about 2-3 levels higher than the area i moved into but making sure im completed all the side missions. I didnt bother with the encounters till the end and just cleaned them up at the end.
TBH I probably wouldn't bother either, but if I do them it shows all intel on the map, so it's worth my while! I may bitch about how much I dislike the game (it's disappointing compared to what we were told it would be IMHO), but one thing Ubisoft are very good at is the story-telling through little details. The intel such as the phone recordings are really impressive. Some are funny and some downright depressing. Some of the things I've stumbled across in game have hit hard too. There's a lot of suicides (understandably) oh yeah, and at least one rat shrine...
I've managed to clear that area now and moving slowly on 6 and 1/2 hours in and up to level 6. Getting practice in before I team up, I had a bad moment on line with a fellow player a few years back he must have team killed me about 5 times and kept raging lol. Really enjoying the game even though it can be frustrating at times.
