I just have UK as a secondary language set up in windows, and toggle between US and UK using Win+Space if I need anything from the other layout.

Are the whites the modern 80cN type? Have you tried a full board with them? I imagine it'd be quite nice.

I've been collecting mech keyboards for only a short while and I have been looking at some of the cheapest ones out there so I took a punt and bought this..

To be honest I'm impressed, it seems really well made, has blue switches, it is surprisingly heavy, the lighting is bright and the lighting effects are pretty cool too. I think they are Gateron switches as I thought I read that somewhere but cant find it now.

I expect the mech board aficionados would find issues with it but for the paltry sum of £18.94 that I paid for it I'm well happy. It's normally £23.68 but I used the 20% offer ebay had last week.

Oh and even though it was from china it arrived in only 5 days :O

Basically these boards seem to be made by a company and others re badge them, mine was listed as an Element esports board but they are more commonly known as KKmoon

That's quite a bit dearer than what I paid obviously but you just need to know what they look like and trawl through ebay and find basically an unbranded one. I don't know if quality is affected but will find out as time goes by.

You can also get a KKmoon cheaper here but not sure if import duty/tax will come into play.

I was going to buy this one if I didn't buy the one I have now, no idea what its like though obviously but it seems to have a recognisable brand associated with it.

What would you guys say - which mx switch is the closest to Topre? Red?
Is there anything between red and black?

I'd say a very smooth membrane keyboard is closer to Topre than any MX variant.

Topre isn't really mechanical, and so doesn't really feel mechanical.

Just a quick heads up to the keyboard nerds: I'm going to be selling my Keyboard Paradise v60 (Gateron browns), hopefully I'll get the thread up this evening.

I tried to get on with a 60% board, but I just can't live without the arrow keys & home/end cluster.

    That's what I thought...

I wish there were more custom key caps for Topre...

Was there some kind of topre-mx adapter for stems?

I think you're thinking of the CM Storm Novatouch (I think that's what it's called) which has MX compatible topre stems. I don't think that there are adapters however.
