I paid £60 inc shipping for the device, which after looking around the bay for them, is a good price for me to be happy.

There are alot of people running PFSense on VMs now and While I could do that I wanted a physical box for this just on the off chance my VM host dies that way the rest of my network wont suffer,

Good price, any chance you could do a thread on the install? I can cheat and just follow it when I set mine up :D

Sure will do something about the install and setup once its arrived, Looks like my project for next weekend, as I was planning on redoing most of my home network soon, so may as well get it all done in one go.

I'll be doing much the same when I get back from holiday, got a big old list of bits and pieces that need picking up and, fingers crossed, the Karcher Outlet will have the pressure washer bundle that I am after back in by the time I get back.

What are you curious about? There are a few of us around here that have to a greater or lesser extent invested in the Hue kit and I'm pretty sure there's a Hue thread kicking about too. I've just done the one room, but a fair few bits (~16m across two lightstrips and 8x GU10 spots) and a bit of franken-hue hacking on the strips.

I'm moving into my new place next month when it's built and was thinking about kitting it out with Hue's. They look pretty neat but am wondering if they are worth the not inconsiderable outlay (~£600 for 10 GU10's in the lounge/kitchen and an E27 in the bedroom).

My parents have got Hue - a total of 12 GU10s, four lightstrips and two lamp...things. It's expensive for sure, but looks fantastic when programmed and in use. They've got it in the kitchen/diner, with the lightstrips as plinth lighting and the GU10s in all the fittings.

I'd argue you need to think carefully about usage. Hue in a bathroom? Nah. Keep it to where you spend the most time etc.

Hey, I spend a lot of time in the bathroom. :p

I wish that Hue would also allow you to switch the bulbs on/off manually at the light fitting. I'd love to program a 'sunrise' on my bedside lights, but I also want to be able to turn them on and off manually for reading.
