    http://www.planetf1.com/news/verstappen-replaces-kvyat/

    OUCH!

I can't help but feel this is Red Bull making a knee jerk reaction. Kvyat drove a fine season last year and this year has had one colossally bad race but three pretty good ones.

For all his obvious talent I don't see Verstappen doing any better, it's one thing to be the fast young talent in the midfield but he'll be up front with the champions and race winners now.

    PS:
RoGro to Ferrari if/when Kimi retires. Bottas has never been involved in Ferrari, Grosjean is working with Ferrari now and they can see that he's in a whole other league to Gutierrez, who Ferrari have worked with for a few years.

    Also.

    Massa to retire.
    Button to Williams.
Stoffel to Mclaren (and to regret it)
Kvyat to Renault (at Palmer's expense)
Palmer to Haas (at Gutierrez expense)
    New Young driver at Haas.

I agree. I can see some surviving possibly in another team either Nasr or Ericsson. The rest probably don't bring in the bacon or have wages demands/too "old".

Kvyat will hang around as a benchmark for Carlos Jr. The looser of that will be ousted. If Riccardo/Verstappen is the choosen one at another team the winner will be in a red bull. Either way I can see a New Torro Rosso team next year.

Grosj for sure - what he's done for Haas in its inaugural season is unpresedented. Sustained top-10 results for a new team is exception. His rep at Renault was solid too. He deserves it. Max V is young enough where he has time to bide - I would not want to be put next to a 4 time WC at ~19 years old. You'll be a career Massa/Barrachello.

    Ricc won't leave RB.

If Ham was walking away with it again this season I'd say Rosberg, but not now he's winning.

Bottas, yes, because he's outgrown Williams and has plenty of talent.

Button will only go down the field to smaller teams from here on. He's just too old.

This sounds very plausable. + RB Young Driver #217 as mentioned above. Probably a ~6 year old Karting kid?

OMG! I'm watching this right now: on lap 28 of the Russian GP - as Kvy gets overtaken by Weh in a Manor - the camera cuts to Dr Marko and David Brundle quips "Dr Marko, we suspect, fancies putting Vestappen in a Red Bull [next year"

Wish Damon Hill would leave sky sports F1. Super Jelous of any british driver with more success than him.

Agree he's largely devoid of personality on TV. Herbert is much better.

A cardboard cut-out of kimi would have more personality than Hill [and would probably be more talkative than the real kimi...]

I was a big fan of Hill when he was driving, but he's bloody boring as a pundit.

Mind you, Johnny Herbert is a joke - it's like he's decided that he is Sky's Eddie Jordan, only more annoying and less insightful.

I thought Prost was quite good on the C4 coverage... enjoyed the back and forth between him and lauda...

There's a long way to go before the C4 presenting team don't feel... forced? Plastic? I dunno, it was kind of uncomfortable to watch some of it.
