Thanks for the offer but tbh I've fallen for the Miami set now in a big way. I'll see if I can get my mate to sort those for me :)

You can buy the TaiHao Miami clones on Amazon UK: link.

Bit more expensive than what I paid Corus Keyboards, but worth it if you really want them fast.

Thanks Shirty. I've fallen for them pretty hard so £50 seems reasonable enough :) I'll get them ordered next week.

Yeah it's a shame Corus ran out of stock as I got them for £35 delivered.

Them's the breaks I guess. I'm really not fussed about the price. I would have balked at the price recently but this keyboard is absolutely awesome. Usually with peripherals I get bored with them pretty quick but this thing is just perfect. It's tiny, I can pretty much make it disappear by pushing it into the monitor when I'm working on my desk and I really don't know why I had such huge beasts in the past.

I guess when you really cut down to the nitty gritty of things and ask yourself just what you need it's usually far less than what your eyes want.

One thing I will need to do is make a picture of the keyboard (or just take a photo) because I need to know what all of the function buttons are and custom keys won't have them. Mainly the volume up/down really and prt scrn which I use quite a bit :)

    Hi Mate

Sorry I didn't see your post.

Anything that's cherry MX and LED compatible really.

Ideally on a purely aesthetic view something like 1-6 from a numpad would do or maybe 1-6 from the top line of numbers, F keys etc but in the end I suppose anything will do.

    Cheers

    Close, its a G80-3000HEMGB.

I've wanted a keyboard with clears for a while now and really happy this came up, It is PS/2 but it has the curled cable for extra vintage points :)

Oh man, I'd be stoked for an actual, functioning coiled cable too. Most of what can be found in MK circles is aesthetic only.

What do you guys think about this novatouch keyboard?

    https://www.massdrop.com/buy/cm-novatouch-barebones

I like my Topre TKL. This would be a great upgrade to have topre switches keyboard with possibility to add custom MX key caps.

Anyone here has one of these?

OK, I'm joining the party. Just picked up an AZIO MGK1 for $40 from Kijiji (used stuff ebay).

It's definitely louder than i expect, considering now it's in my bedroom and it's usually quiet.... but damn it feels so good to type and play some games with. The window key lock, and lighted back letters are nice too.

but strangely the Canadian version doesn't come with a key caps remover? Oh well.

    Good stuff!

Careful with import fees with massdrop. I read mixed things about the early batches of novatouch boards with regards quality - not sure if they've sorted things out since.

That would be my 4th mech keyboard... Should I start to worry?:worried:

Does anyone one have any experience of getting top plates and cases milled?

I'm looking to hand build a planck and was thinking of getting a top plate and case made out of brass. Just wondering what sort of costs are involved in this sort of endeavor?

Just received my Novatouch - I can see how quicker I can type on this one:)

Again, I noticed that Topre keyboards, and this one, have smaller keycaps.
Is that just me or do you guys can notice that too?
Top of the caps is smaller than regular mx cap.

Very long shot, but will ask anyway - anyone willing to sell their round 5 or round 6 SA keycaps here? :)

Willing to pay top dollar for it...

My venerable Filco Majestouch has bitten the dust when it comes to the V key.

Does anyone have one I could buy to repair it?

Ideally black, but I can disassemble for the spring if needs be.

not cheap or quick to get if no one can help you on here.

I keep trying to buy dead boards on ebay purely to strip the switches out to either sell on or help people here but they keep going for silly money :(

Wowzer. Nearly a month for shipping? Thats.. Impressively bad even by China standards.

Edit: Oh cool! KustomPC's stock single switches for about two fifty posted.
