...and once the desk is complete, abbas-it will use it for:

- flying his star ship?
- plotting world domination?
- uploading himself into the Matrix?
- building himself an Iron Man suit?

...stay tuned and find out! :p

:Dyeah you seem to have understood what dark plan i have for the future of mankind. yes thats pretty much whats going to happen, or i would just be satisfied if i could do the same as BRUCE here, well not the ARMAGEDDON film BRuce Willis, i mean the real deal with much more serious business. like in this video:D:D:D

hi guys, its update time, nothing spectacular yet though. am still working on more than one part of the whole top and build in general. its such a massive project.
so first things first, this part here is the middle concole which will hold the dvd drive and some switches.
the keyboard cover will slide underneath it when opened and it will have leds underneath too.
in one of the previous posts you saw how i used the top cassette loader drawer of an old video recorder to house the 7 port usb hub, well i had to buy an extra long drill bit borer to make this hole all the way to the eject button
[IMG]

set in the mid concole for the first eyeball test
[IMG]
the next thing was i wanted to make the left and right shelf look a bit like it has brows so that it all focuses into the middle, beside the brows will later hide leds too. also drill n cut in some wiring channel holes before i started closing it all up.
i am still not sure what i will make for the centre court here, these are just hold on tests
[IMG]
so frankly speaking i dont know what theses are, i found them at the junkyard, maybe medicine dosage tins. anyway they have glass tops which can be slid on. i will integrate these in the build for various led functions and highlighting certain parts, will diagonally cover them partially to giv em that stern look like the audi head lights have.
i hvae more than one option for temp and fan control panels, lets see which one makes the finals..
not exactly finished yet, but you can see the eye brows from the back here and that they are hightened a bit to hide led strips.

here is a little test video just propped so you can see the eject button working, in english and german.

That pop-up USB rig with the VHS cassette bracket is brilliant! As is this entire build! I love how you recycle old parts, even when you don't know what they are. :D Such awesome work!

:lol:thanks bart, yeah i simply love the mc gyver style. it always depends on wht i find though,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,or what my wife cannot find anymore, unless she looks closer at my builds.

so guys, today i did a few things too. first i sanded of the first back right corner, then i sawed out the first 2x 5.25ers for fan controls. the drawer inlay are also ready and i evene made a centre clock case because its a desk. i wann get in as much of everything that i could possibly need when useing it.

i also cut out the second plate left of the keyboard. i will mod in that usb slot i salvaged and it will be a stash for usb keys, hdds and stick etc.. so that they dont fly about in there, i just have to stick them in the ports and they are then secired for transport.
i will put in a white led so that it turns on automatically when opened.
more to come..

hi guys, so i finished the two oed lamps which actually dissapear and if you dont know they are there then you just think they are a part of the deco.
i also started on the speakers, but these pictures can actually be forgotten because i have decided to change the concept there.
they are easily screwed off and on in a jiffy but i wanna be able to elevate the monitor when they are mounted too, which wouldnt work this way, so will change that.
i was planning on using the thermaltake led Rling fan led rings too, but that makes them bigger than necessary, will totally change that.
more to come.

these switches are for keyboard elevation, monitor elevation and the cam slide left and right, also the mains switch via key turn.

hi guys, so seeing as i am taking part in the TT UK modding Trophy, i will pause a bit here with the ARMAGEDDON. its such a huge project anyway that it will take more time.
tonight i am taking it out of the workshop and making place for the STRONGHOLD TT project.
nevertheless, here are the last fotos till i carry on with this one.
i didnt like the last speaker concept becuase i want to be able to lower the moniotrs without having to screw them off, so here is the result of my second concept which has a more reasonable sized satellites too. the woofer will come under the table later.

[IMG][/IMG]
[IMG][/IMG]
[IMG][/IMG]
[IMG][/IMG]
[IMG][/IMG]
[IMG][/IMG]
[IMG][/IMG]
[IMG][/IMG]
these are little chucks which will come at certain distances around the sides of the table and legs etc.. you cannot really see much now, but later on they will give it a very ruged tough look.
[IMG][/IMG]
[IMG][/IMG]
[IMG][/IMG]
[IMG][/IMG]
[IMG][/IMG]
[IMG][/IMG]

so the next post will probably be a few details before i swap roome with it then please tune again after a short break for THE STRONGHOLD.

hi guys, so the Thermaltake UK Trophy and Invitational is over and now i can dedicate my time to the ARMAGEDDON project again. after the mod is before the mod. i dont know what happened to the pics in the öast post, but here they are again. i didnt like the first speaker design and decided to integrate my creative labs 2.1 sub woofer. i made new speaker cases and a mount out of music jack and sockets, this was i just click them on and swivel them in whatever direction i want them while they dont lose the connection.

thanks kim, i appreciate it. yes these angles are a lot of work but when they have paint on them then it will reveal the look i am aiming for.

so tiday i more or less finished the subwoofer camo. it ist hinged on with keyhole screws and the front as well as both side panels are megnetically clipped on and off. they will radiate some leds on the sides for underneath indirect light which pulses to the frequencies of music accordingly.

thanks mate..

so guys, i managed to get some lil parts made yesterday. i have seperated the table top from the whole build now for more space and am decorating the legs. in between i made a tin can and beaker holder though, with both sizes for normal cans and smaller ones like redcull and ok. the most important element of all:rolleyes:

it has two magnets which make it snap in and out at the right stoppage.
