And another one with shopping lists and no actual modding.

I don't think it's stupid. It stops the forum from becoming ad spam heaven.

We want to see modding, not adverts.

    Holy Grail of ITX

But then it's not a log... it's a normal post... for a post you don't have to open different threads. To make you happy they could close this subforum ans just create one thread called "modding pics" and there everybody can post his project :)

There was no complain at my last three logs so I don't care :)

I don't really understand why you'd buy a mini ITX board and go SLI of two 980 Tis fpr $600 a piece, rather than just spend $1200 on a Titan X or go mATX and have 8 DIMM slots?

Cause everybody can do this? cause the MATX Cases which allow me to internal watercool the PC are to big, cause its not a challenge, cause I love ITX, cause people can ask questions like "why you dont use a Titan X", cause more power than a titan x, cause I got the cards before Titan X was released, and much more :D

    P. S. which MATX got 8 DIMM?

SLI on an itx board, interresting Idea, but where do you get the pcie lanes from for the second gpu... Any kind of riser card involved that splits a pcie 3.0 X16 slot into two x8 ?

I understand the Part of the Rules section where it´s no Mod when there is no modding done yet.
At least it´s not a "just look what my sponsos just sent me" Pictures thread full of Thermaltake P5 Cases and their watercooling kits.
On OCN it´s solved in a pretty simple way, Sponsored Builds have their own section...

It's some sort of splitter ribbon IIRC

@saxovtsmike and on OCN I am not posting in the sponsor section... what is that telling you? ;)

Yes I use a risercard from Supermicro servers to split the x16 to x8, then you need a BIOS for your MB, which can handle the splitted lanes and at least you need a modified driver, which allows you to use SLI on boards, which doesnt support SLI.

@Vault-Tec: I got your point about the first post! I didnt want to post a buying list, it was just to start the build log. After the software and SLI things are solved the preparation of the case will start! =)

Last score was with software emulated bridge.

This screens now are with virtualized blabla and the second is with a real bridge

    How is it stupid?
It is self explanatory and keeps things focused on the modding...instead of one pic and a heap of attitude.....

Work in progress means work. So far all we have seen is a case in bits (doesn't count as modding) and a few screen shots of 3dmark.

Mod just means modified/modification... the drivers are modified :) but the case is in the milling machine at the moment (work in progress ;))

If that's a problem for you keep out of this thread :) I am annoyed about the notifications with your name. Seems that you just try to play Forum police and push your post counter :S but hey you missed my last 3 logs :D
