£48 for an AIO cooler? Bargain!

I would love to see manufacturers start producing smaller AIO coolers for 80mm (both single and dual) seeing as a few mini cases have these smaller fan sizes.

 

agreed, great price, 2 x 120mm fans, quiet, what's not to like?

 

The fans. They're £4 AF jobbies and no good for static pressure. By the time you add two decent fans it'll be Corsair money.

However, that said I do like it. It's very compact and the rad is nice and fat. Might consider upgrading my single thickness CPU cooler to one of these. Not too bothered about the fans as I have those already.

To the reviewer - see that nasty piano plastic "cover" thing on the pump? does that come off per chance? I really don't like it.

 

However, it clearly works perfectly fine with the bundled fans.

I've used those fans on radiators before - they perform well, albeit a little bit wooshy at higher revs.

 

I've used them too I used to have them back in my skint days on my H50 (the original one).

 

Funny, from the results BT have posted in the review these fans seem to perform absolutely fine, and the noise levels are good too. Sure, you could spend more money on "decent fans" but you absolutely don't need to, so it seems a little perverse to criticise this £50 AIO cooler for it's fans when they work fine.

 

Funny, I just upgraded my MSI Dragon 120mm AIO to a H115i - and that's surprisingly noisier than I expected...

 

I recently bought the Kraken X31 (£60 from Amazon) the 16" hose was the key selling point for me.

 

The stock fans are pretty loud, I replaced the ones on my own.Corsair do Silent high performance fans that will do 1200 rpm with the same cfm as what the h115i default fans do at 50-60%.which is about 2k rpm.

You can turn the thing entirely silent with decent fans.

 

These look very good and I nearly bought one of these recently. It made it into the final 3 I shortlisted before I was offered a used 240mm AIO for a very good price. (Cheers Spreadie. )

 

Thank you - I have a few Corsair SP140's lying around so I'll try those this weekend - and I might change them to pull not push as it should make cleaning the radiator easier...

 

That'll make a considerable difference. I fitted 120 SPs to a H100i and there was almost no change in performance, but a huge reduction in noise.

 

If you're doing a new build you'll likely need case fans anyway, so buy some SPs, swap them around and use the others on the case. With a resistor/step-down cable if necessary. That should keep the cost down.

 

I am torn now between this and the H80i as this is over £25 cheaper (H80i £74.99 Amazon).
