    Hi all,

Does anyone know where can I get a mesh sheet that is similar to the following images? (Don't need the indents)

It feels like it's made of steel, because it's cold (unlike plastic) and hard (unlike aluminium) to touch.

I thought it was wire mesh, but looking closely I think it's actually fine perforated sheet.

It's hard to measure but I think they are 1mm holes with 1mm pitch?

I have seen it used a lot in cases' ventilation, but have never been able to find a source to buy a sheet of it.

It's for a case mod project.

    Thanks.

Search "perforated mesh" in Ebay's metalworking category.

Ah crap sorry I should have mentioned --- in the UK.

But yea I've looking on Ebay but I haven't been able to find anything. The closest is large PVC fan filters that I can cut to size.

Many thanks. I've searched Ebay, Amazon, Alibaba, Aliexpress, and TaoBao already. And I don't see anything suitable.

BUT! I've found that I can get used speakers for cheap and use their grilles, which is mostly the right hole size and usually in black. Made of steel too. So I might just go down this route.

Ah I totally forgot about speaker grilles. I made a vent on a project some time ago by using the grilles from some pioneer car speakers. The steel was really easy to cut, scissors would you believe :D

I cut what I needed and then flattened the convex shape out of it.
