    Oh well, I suppose the pricing of the Titan confirms that you won't see any change from £800 for the 1080Ti when it lands.

    ..and Fallout 4, only 40'ish fps at 4K!, it's using a decade old gfx engine for crying out loud, why is it such a resource hog?

    It's just pants man. Best thing to do is run it at 1440p maxed out. It's one of those games that doesn't gain anything at all from going 4k.

    The main setting that affects everything so badly under the Ultra preset is the God Rays one. Reduce this and this alone and everything jumps up. I think there's also a patch where it modifies the setting a little so you can still select Ultra without the ridiculous performance hit.

    Nonetheless, we deliberately choose (where we can) segments of a game that are the most demanding. There are many areas in Fallout 4 where you'll get far, far higher performance than our benchmark suggests, but it will still be those slowdowns that really affect your experience.
