    Work travel: 1st class train tickets for the trip and a nice hotel for a night. The only good thing about the trip will be the time spent in 1st class... one of the perks of working for a company running a train network, I guess. ;)

    Ooh fancy, how are you going about getting the actual Nitrogen itself? I've been toying with the idea of getting one for food use

    Don't look at the website for that company if you value your sight.

    Got myself a new car; A Mk6 Golf GTD. I love it. I've had it a couple of weeks now so I've gotten pretty used to it. This is my first diesel and I have to say i'm a convert. I do about 20 miles each way to work each day so it's just about worth while. The car reckons i'm averaging 43mpg with a heavy right foot, which destroys my 1.6 petrol focus which returned 30mpg.

    [IMG]

    As its my new shiny baby, I invested in a discreet dash cam which had good reviews;

    [IMG]

    Then I grabbed the necessary gubbins to hardwire it in;

    [IMG]

    At the same time I picked up a cheap multi meter

    [IMG]

    And a decent soldering iron;

    [IMG]

    Then I grabbed the Haynes manual for reference.

    [IMG]

    And finally, lastnight, I got caught out needing a torch during a night-shift. I had a tiny crappy keychain xmas cracker quality torch which just was terrible. This one was well over budget as the range of choice on Amazon is staggering and one thing led to another, ended up ordering this one. It seems good with a magnetic usb charger which seems handy. I'll know for sure when it turns up.

    New aerial for the Yaris. The problem with driving a tiny car with a long aerial on it is that it doesn't look too far off an RC car...

    I highly doubt that it has ever seen anything to do with TRD for real but hey, looks better. No idea how well it does or doesn't work (didn't drive in to work this morning) but I'm not really that bothered as I never listen to the radio, just a CD or two.

    I have an Olight Baton I ordered from China (for half the price of the same torch in the UK). It's the S20-L2, and the build quality is fantastic - I reckon you'll be well happy with your purchase. (I fancy one m'self, 'cos my S20 isn't rechargeable, but can't justify another torch right now!)

    Did things the old fashioned way - went to PC World, bought a laptop. Lenovo Ideapad 310 with AMD A10 and 8GB DDR4.

    I'm pretty taken by it so far; like you say, the build quality is very impressive and I'm amazed by how bright the torch is in such a small package. The magnetic charger is a USB one, so it'll charge off a power bank or a standard plug. Makes it super handy.
