Cob van didn't turn up at work today, hence nothing for lunch. I am not a happy fat-man at the moment.

I'd go and grab something but then I'd have no break.

Still, at least I have an early finish today, noms won't be too far away.

Car again: wife sez it's blowing blue smoke out its backside, so it's back to the garage again.

This is why I didn't want a car!

Hehe, I had a special order with the cob van for a beef madras pasty this morning which only served to make things worse. Ginsters might have been an acceptable alternative.

Meeting at work today about team expectations, we now have to support any application, even if someone's just made it and installed it themselves. Works just got a whole lot more crap.

Did you tell them you expect users to be reasonably intelligent and not be bloody idiots?

    Blue smoke?

I pray for you that it isn't bad valve stems. That could be expensive.

Had my 500GB HDD and 120GB SSD both fail today. Sure they were quite old, at 6 years for the HDD and the SSD had done over 50TB of writing, but for both to fail on the same day is quite something.

My phone also slipped through the hole in my pocket and smacked the pavement, cracking the screen.

go and do a good deed to help some one else or some thing, universe is watching you to see what you will do now!

the numbers should be available on the probability of duel failure, should be very high(same day), above 100k to 1 expect?

    Shopping for a replacement mouse...

seem like you can pick 2 from the following...

    isn't ludicrously expensive
    has usable thumb buttons
    isn't a ridiculous hand-crippling shape
isn't made of out of the cheapest, nastiest, plastic known to man

Annoyingly, given it's a G400 i'm looking to replace, most of the logitech ones i've seen fail on at least 3 of those criteria...

Yeah, mice are a bit of a lottery, aren't they? I'm dreading the day that my trusty Microsoft Wireless Optical mouse carks it - although I've had about sixteen years out of it, so can't complain too much :)

Windows 7 update on a fresh install.

I am convinced Microsoft has deliberately made this process fail in order to force you to update to w10 out of sheer frustration

Using Wsusoffline to get it to work now.

I need to teach my oldest about having thicker skin. I got a call earlier about how she got quite upset when another student was picking on her at break time. Kids are starting to pick on her for being intelligent, it was something to be expected. Her being so emotional and losing it so easily is going to become a problem, though.

Bought a hedge trimmer and 45 minutes later cut though the cable :/ also bought a sprayer and it broke before I could even use it! The range said they couldn't refund it because it had been used which consisted of me filling it with a expensive weed control substance then going to pump it and it not working. Saying rather loudly in front of about 20 customers 'I bought this from you 35 minutes ago and its already broke and your telling me you won't refund me because it's been used? ' seemed to do the trick when the guy quickly made a shh noise while basically throwing my cash at me. Roll on tomorror or the 10th when sky gets installed :)
