I'm completely finished with Windows as an AV platform - my audio lost sync for no reason (after delays being meticulously tweaked) last night for the very last time...

Whatever are you talking about, I'm filling it with spreadsheets and powerpoints obviously.

Huawei P9, to replace my HTC One M8 with dead camera. Bought 'cos of the twin-lens Leica-branded camera system, which is fantastic - but by crikey the Huawei software's a pain. It also seems to be picking fights with my Wi-Fi router, for some reason...

You can get replacement cameras for the M8 pretty cheap.

Come on Gareth, get a custom ROM flashed onto that bad boy and you'll never have to endure the Huawei software again :)

Yeah, and have you *seen* the procedure for getting at the camera? No bleedin' thanks!
There are no custom ROMs for the P9 yet.

It may be going back, anyway: it appears to argue with the Wi-Fi router so fiercely that it literally kills the 5GHz radio until I physically power the router off and back on again. Joy.

Yeah... good point, that phone is trashed - you might as well give it to me to use as a paperweight... or summat. :D :naughty:

SoundPeats Q21 bluetooth headphones, bought to replace my utterly annihilated in-ear headphones (Cable went in three places, one earbud is utterly dead, other is on the way out.)

So far; I'm pretty pleased, I'll see how they hold up with time and more use; But right now; the things are pretty damn good.

Look ridiculous because they stick about an inch out from each ear, but I'm willing to live with that.

Returned my Ideapad 310 and got a superior 510 instead... for £50 less. Happy days! Also, Currys PC World customer service rocks. :thumb:

An Excalibur 9 Tray Dehydrator with Timer. Every year I like to pick mushrooms, but it's a pain drying them as it takes ages, covers the whole house and makes the whole place reek of fungi. Used to have a dehydrator 15 years ago or something, but it was a pretty rubbish one and ran on US 120V too, so would need a transformer if I could find the thing. This is a much better unit, should help dry those babies out in a fraction of the time.

    Oh, do want Maki!

Bought leather strap for a new eyepatch, wool yarn, and a rabbit pelt today. Yeah, it's time to get ready for winter.

I emailed Lian direct to see if they had any EOL X series to buy, I was told yes, but it'll be $400.

Habitually trawling eBay for local stuff.

I have so much stuff [IMG]

It isn't cosmetically perfect but has polished up ok.

Was impressed you could get the spare screws easily for the drive trays.

Was not impressed they were £7 + shipping.

    How bloody dare you :miffed:

    :hehe:

You can make fruit roll ups with those. Blend strawberries, banana etc then pour out onto grease proof paper and put it in one of those. They're delightful !
