Wow Reliant Scimitar, I haven't seen one of those for years. Has that got an Escort XR3I engine in it ?

    Essex 3l V6.

It's an auto at the moment but might get changed to manual, needs the heads coming off the engine first though as it smokes more than the industrial revolution when it's cold, :D.

Quite brave taking on a car of this age. At least with the body being Fibre Glass it won't rust :)

I hope you plan to respray it - that colour looks fookin awful.

I've known two people to take on a Scimitar in the last 5-6 years - both were undone by some seriously voodoo wiring/electrical problems.

My dad has had two Scimitars, an SE6 with a 4sp + overdrive and his current SE6a auto.

I've always liked Scimitars although I've never actually been in one.

Has the paint been done well? it's so bright it's hard to tell but it looks like some sort of flat/satin? TBH I love the colour but we need more pics man. I want to see the sides, back, rims etc.

It looks pretty good, it is glossy and there's no crazing in the fibreglass, that pic was taken in the morning though when it was covered in dew and the colour screws with the camera. It had a body off resto 6 years ago, then I think it was just left standing in storage.
It's had some bits on the body smoothed off, as there's no vents on the side by the rear lights and there's no bumper mounting holes.

Best thing is it's got side pipes, :D :D :D

Electricals will be no problem for me, I completely rewired the car in my avatar from scratch and there's not a lot of electrical stuff on the car anyway, nice and simple.

    Here's a side and rear shot :

I quite like it. There's nothing really unique going on here, but it's just generally nice. I've been a bunch of times on business and often find myself thinking that I should spend a week here with the Mrs at some point, and immediately stop thinking it when it comes to going through expenses post-trip.

I won't talk about this then...

At least this could actually feed a family of four though.

Yeah, I definitely like the colour. Absolutely love those black rims. Every car should have black rims...

It's funny as it goes. I clearly remember my dad saying he wanted one of those and my mother shutting him down back in the late 70s before he died. He'd had this MGB and was showing off and drove through a puddle. It shorted the electrics and nearly wrote the car off. After that my mother assured him he was having nothing even slightly sporty lol.

You do need a Dukes Of Hazard horn though :D

Definitely shouldn't mention this one then:

Dinner for 5 at the Waterside Inn the other day for a birthday :)

Food was damn mind blowing (well, bar the bread), as was the wine. Definitely an evening to remember, another one ticked off the restaurant bucket list. The meal was 10 courses, so was absolutely stuffed to bursting point by the end, despite the small size of each individual course (other than the duck above, which was huge).

Two more - La Perle and Verveine, both in Milford On Sea in Hampshire. You haven't lived until you've had a Violet Beuregarde. From the latter. The former is ran by a Masterchef semi finalist :)
