a few bits and bobs, all delivered to my wife's dad in the Munich area, where we'll be visiting just before xmas:

A whole lot of special effects makeup as an xmas present to the wife (some high end stuff as well... things are not cheap) - she has a new hobby, and I am all pro-hobby.

a set of F-spaced DiMarzio Titan's (after really wanting the Bareknuckle Juggernaughts, the pricing and the mission of paying for them from Namibia and shipping to Germany became a bit much) to replace the old (and rubbish) DiMarzio IBZ's in my Ibanez RG2570E.

A Line6 Amplifi FX100 - not the highest end device they have, but will do for those times where the provided backline at a gig is rubbish.

I loved American Gods, it was a fantastic read. I did not know that Pratchett and Gaiman wrote a book together, I may have to buy it.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on these. I was looking at a set of them the other day, but could not quite sway myself to part with £400 for all four corners.

I highly recommend you do, especial if you enjoy either of the authors other works.

A good way to describe one progress.

Getting them fitted on Saturday, they're supposed to be the bee's knees.
Any view I give will be slanted as they're replacing old old Yoko's which are slicker than snot, an old skool steel tyre would feel better :jawdrop:

You a Ramsey Campbell fan? He's one of my favourite Horror Writers at the moment, and I do like myself some Horror. His style echos older writers like Lovecraft and Blackwood and that's why I love him. His novels tend to be slow burners but incredibly atmospheric.

American Gods is great, though I must admitting to REALLY enjoying Anansi Boys a bit more.
My favourite bit of Gaiman is probably somewhere in his collection of short stories.

Campbell is great. I have read only short(er) stories by him so far but now that I have quite a few of his novels I will definitely get startetd. :thumb:

Lovecraft is, as you may have guessed from my signature, one of my favourite writers. The Blackwell stories I read so far where fun but did not blow me away.

In The View from the Cheap Seats? I have the signed edition so I am reluctant to read it, but might just grab a cheap-ish paperback soon.
