I've just bought a 750GB Crucial MX300 in Amazon's Black Friday sale (£105.99) I'll be porting my OS from my older/slower 120GB Kingston SV200 SSD. I'm very happy with my current setup and settings, so is there any reason I shouldn't just be looking to port a disk image across? and can anyone recommend some software to do it? Thanks, FuSS
I always use CloneZilla - not necessarily the most user-friendly cloning program, but hasn't failed for me yet. Windows may do various levels of freaking out, depending on which version it is, but if you've got a laptop or other method of getting online in the event of catastrophic freakout, you've got a safety net. Shouldn't really need it though.
I use HDClone from Miray for all my cloning needs, can even do sky and playstation hard disks using 1 to 1 copy mode
