Makes a change for Hamster to be the obnoxious one. The only way he could have improved it was by wearing dungarees with no shirt.
"Hammond being a jerk in a muscle car" doesn't really turn my crank. Not sure why the celebrity death bit is still on, but certainly enjoyed it. Overall rating:
I'm not prepared to believe anything in those shows is unscripted. There's certainly nothing about that particular moment that seems particularly spontaneous. Unless you think the limo splitting was an unplanned event..... Haven't seen Grand Tour yet but just signed up to a month's Prime for chrimbo shopping purposes so might check it out.
Episode 3 was FANTASTIC. More, please. Also - there's a not insubstantial part of me that wants a Hellcat now... that NOISE. haha
Episode 3 was good. It was complete and utter nonsense, pure entertainment, and I loved it. ^ Ditto the above - WANT that Hellcat.
Episode 3 was definitely better, but the bits with Hammond just seemed like they were trying too hard. It just came across a little forced to me.
Thought I'd posted about Ep 2. Much better ! will watch Ep 3 tonight.. Don't forget they are under a lot of pressure to make it work, that may be why some of it seems scripted and forced. I think once it settles in they'll be fine
I notice the American driver didn't make an appearance. Hopefully this is a good sign for the future.
The "adventure" bit was quite long in ep3, and they did no power laps... so I would say "don't count on the yank not coming back"
I was hoping 'The Yank' was a one-off and the gag would be a new 'tame racing driver' for each episode (each possibly a stereotype), but sadly that does not appear to be the case.
It is to us yes. However Top Gear has become a worldwide smash with a worldwide audience. Even back in the early 2000s friends of mine in the USA were downloading them and watching them. This is also Amazon, who are going to want to please as many people as they can to get them on, and keep them on Prime.
Got half way through and fell asleep because I started way too late, debating whether to finish it or not. I heard the second half was better? Really didn't enjoy the first half as it was largely taken up by the road trip, or at least it felt that way. Does the rest of the road trip improve somewhat?
I did exactly the same I'd already watched a couple of docus about Edison and Tesla though so it was stupid late before I started it. As much as the "hell cat" made me laugh it still got better MPG than my old 5.7l V8 Ford Truck. I would be lucky to get 5 out of that thing. Had big tanks though !
