There's always "Event Viewer" in windows. Just type in in the search box in the start menu for W7, or go Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Event Viewer.

I've not had too much luck with EV myself but it may help. I would look under Windows Logs -> Application and System first. Look for anything with a red exclamation generally. You may have to do some digging with the info it gives you there if you find anything. Typically in this case I would expect to find some red exclamation marks that are dated exactly when the computer freezes.

    Few questions:

Do you only have issues when playing WoW?
Did you do a fresh install of Windows when you changes components?
Did you update the graphics driver/have you upgraded the graphics driver?

Event viewer should have some information. If you look in System, under Windows Logs you should see if there were any errors.

Is the z97 board on the latest bios? If not update it.
If it is then run the following in any order from elevated command prompt.
    Mdsched
    Sfc /scannow
    Chkdsk /r

Mdsched will run a memory scan
Sfc /scanner will run a scan of core Windows files
Check disk is a check disk for errors.
Apologies I can no see the signature as I am using my phone, but if the OS drive is an ssd then I would also install the manufacturers toolbox to check fw and diagnosis of the ssd as well.

Have you reinstalled WoW and it's add ons I know it's a pain but wow has a tendency to crash for no reason when you ever install new components.

Easy way to tell play any other game if it works fine the issue is the wow install.

Did you try another game. If it works properly the issue is with wow.

There's a great piece of freeware called WhoCrashed? that'll help you. It interrogates the Event Viewer, minidumps and associated tables and gives you an easy to understand *likely* cause of the crash and it's completely free, being freeware and all that!

Try another driver. It could be that they have broken WOW in the latest drivers, happens a lot.

If it persists as others have said try other games or run a benchmark at least (you can get a couple for free) and see what happens there. Heaven and Valley are good for testing a GPU.

Yeah see if your card was dying I would strongly think that Valley would make it poo bricks.

Only thing to do now really is go back through Nvidia's drivers and try older versions.

BTW when you upgraded what you upgraded did you reinstall Windows and install the chipset drivers etc?

Did a but of googling and found this. Any of these sound like the problem you're having? Seems it's a WOW issue.
