    Hello fellow members,

As a big fan of bit-tech for many years (reading and viewing) not a big poster lol... I thought it was time to post something I think is worth posting. As a casemodder i made several well know mods over the years like "Tri-MAX", "HyperCube" etc... and won some big modding compo's, therefore i would like to share you all my latest project "Shui-Shen" (means God of water in old Chinese) youl see what i mean ;-). This project is finnisched and under it's way to CES "Las Vegas" as we speak and will be showed on the Thermaltake booth. So no step by step toutorial but a photo log album of all the millestones during the build. I will awnser your questions as mush as possible doh. But first let me tell you the story behind this project plz enjoy...

    Project Shui-Shen (God of water)

Project Shui-Shen, born by a flash of inspiration while i was working out... back at home I immediately started to write it on a small paper, later i sketched it in 3D as I had to get it out of my head! When i made the first moving renders in Keyshot I immediately knew... This is it!
So days become weeks and weeks, months... step by step I designed all the DXF drawings for the metal panel that was a hell to laser-cut, acrylic parts, 3D prints, covers, structural supports and final details... In the mean time I made a couple other builds for different partners and with my enthusiasm i entered the Thermaltake season 2 global modding event with my Shui-Shen project. As the project got delayed more and more by customs, papers, hardware sponsor and every other problem you can imagine, time flew by and before I knew it was almost Computex time!! I needed to push harder so I skipped some key elements to get the build ready.... BAD plan!
We all know that was a bad move and therefore I didn't get many positive reactions and votes in the Tt competition for the project... we all knew what the outcome of that casemodding event was...yes Peter.B desk and well deserved to! I was torn with a bad feeling as i knew my project was far from finished...that was a lesson i had to learn.

So a couple project's later... I still had that burning feeling inside and all the key components slowly became ready, I was obsessed to Finnish this project whatever it takes! Meanwhile, I bought two Asus GTX 1080's ref design cards, i really liked the design of the cooler it was a shame to take them off, but i needed to as they had to be water cooled! So I designed a special 3D printed cover to put on top of the water blocks... I kinda had the reference design back on the water cooled cards now!
    Me happy :)
The time was come to assemble every key component in place, the custom designed milled solid aluminum feet, the water cooling components on the hardware and case, mounting the Asus Z10PE-D16 WS workstation motherboard, the Asus 1080's graphic cards i had to mount in an angle so everything fitted on the standard case form factor the Thermaltake Toughpower DPS G RGB 1250W Titanium power supply with the amazing sleeved power cables provided by ICEMODZ.com !! Yeah I really planned the layout so all that sweet hardware fitted on that small space and still looked eye smexy!
When everything was in place and well tested it was time to tube it up and close the loop with number 1 KEY ELLEMENT... The DISTRIBUTION PANEL with a Perfect fit!!
MAN that view was heaven !! I could't wait very long to show everyone what become of the project I was working on for almost one year! A huge weight dropped of my shoulders... now it's time to shine my precious Shui-Shen!

    Hardware spec sheet:

PSU: Thermaltake Toughpower DPS G RGB 1250W Titanium powered by custom sleeved Icemodz power cables.
    mobo: Asus Z10PE-D16 WS workstation
    CPU: X2 dual Xenon E5-2620V3 2.4Ghz 15mb cashe, LGA 2011V3, 85W
GPU: X2 Asus Gforce GTX1080 SLI watercooled by Thermaltake with custom 3D printed GTX10xx ref design covers.
    Memory: 64GB DDR4 Samsung LR-DIMM ECC 2400MHz
Custom watercooling loop with components provided by Thermaltake and Bitspower.
A massieve distribution panel made out of cast acrylic and two custom feets milled out off a solid allumium block!

NOW let's start the photo worklog...

    Sponsor material arrived!

METAL sheet, designed myself and let it laser cut with partner... was hard to find the right laser settings as it was to hot or to fast to cut the verry fine lines, details...but we did it :)

Meanwile i discovered that the entiere weight of the project was that massive that the custom 3D printed feets where not strong enough so i deceided to send my design to a local partner and let it made out of solid alumnium !!

I had no idea the bar could be set that high. On the one hand I had been looking at my build with some trepidation but if things like this exist, my projects feels a lot more straightforward (and obtainable)!
