Hopefully going to see Peter Hook And The Light in Cardiff on the 17th of March. Need to plan accommodation and travel. Premier inn is bloody £88 for a night :sigh:

Staying somewhere in town is a mug's game :). There are quite a few hotels in town, but they're probably all pretty pricey.

Are you driving up? If you are then try this one: https://goo.gl/maps/EFgXBZKTxPp. It's actually on the outskirts of Newport, but it's an easy drive into Cardiff from there. Of course that means you'll have to worry about parking - plenty of car parks in town, but some are quite expensive. Or there's always Uber (I wouldn't recommend a taxi from that far out, you'd be talking ~£35).

I am thinking of catching the train, I want to have a good few drinks and not worry about the drive back the next day :thumb:

Doing the usual rounds today and happened to come across a jar with a dissolved specimen looking thing in some kinda pee colored fluid, so as i do i pick it up and read the label and found out it wasn’t a worm as i expected but a damn human leg vein…

Like honesty i thought this crap just happened in movies or perhaps hospitals for learning didn’t realise people just brought them home like pickled onions.

Yeah, you're gonna be pretty restricted to town centre hotels then.

Train ticket is about £55 return, travel lodge is £68 and tickets for the gig are £22. Throw in food and beer money and it's the best part of £200. With the **** I have gone through the last year I deserve it.

    Fancy coming to the gig?

My partner kept moaning and nagging me, accusing me of downloading when i wasn’t and reminding me her name was on the bill at the end of each month… 6mb connection…

4 days later i have my own connection...

    just watched passengers 2016

full spectrum of emotions ran through with this classic film. felt emotionally drained at the end, superb formula for space geeks and moves through dark drama to action and romance excellently paced.

films like this don't come along often and you are rewarded if you invest in the story, nice set location depiction, space narration. when Jennifer Lawrence had to step up at the end that was just superb.

I also enjoyed the film, no idea why it was panned by the critics though.

Sorry I didn't reply, haven't been around in a while!

Thanks for the offer, but it's not really my cup of tea I'm afraid :).
