Come on, I'm smarter than that, long exposure of the Rhoomba, then the model walks in and use a flash to freeze her in place ;)

I did 240 30" exposures so I could pick and choose interesting motion.

    lol

That's not as fun sounding :). Could probably just do a quick trace with an led if you wanted to get that look too. Not sure how that would turn out though.

Nope, wouldn't work. You have to get the tracks around her leaving the dead space in the middle. It's more of a negative space thing, plus you get just the peripheral illumination of the model.

Damn it, the more we talk about it the more I want to try it!

I suppose you automated your camera somehow to do that?

    Yeah, I've got a Sony alpha 6000 which has a built-in intervalometer app (for $10 :-/).

I'm also seeing the benefits of changing room each time, browny points for cleaning the house at the same time instead of making mess haha, I needed an excuse to buy the new dyson robot now I think is the time lol.

Thanks. She's amazing to work with. Should be doing some beach stuff with her in a couple of weeks.

[IMG]Raspberry Pi Zero W by Gareth Halfacree, on Flickr

Not often I share 'ere, but I was particularly pleased by this one (and it's worth clicking through for full-res, I reckon). That chip in the middle is an unencapsulated one, which is basically a teeny-tiny mirror with teeny-tiny writing just below the surface, and an absolute pain to photograph. Last time I ended up using a microscope instead; this time I got lucky and snapped the shot with a Nikon D3200 and Nikkor 40mm Micro lens.

Ta! You'd never guess I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing, would you? (Nor that I 'calibrated' my cheapy monitor by holding a page of Custom PC's Hobby Tech column against the same photo and fiddling with AMD Catalyst Control Centre 'til it looked roughly the same.)
