First win on solo. This is when you don't care about the price tag! the pure joy of winning is unreal
We've been tanning this game quite a bit, and had so many hilarious / DERP moments. This being one, the audio makes this clip. (note I'm not driving) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eB15DCxC6X8
We really need a bit-tech Discord... I found one, but it was dead. Started setting up my own, but an official one would be good! (I uninstalled Mumble, TS, etc. after everything moved to Discord. Even my work uses it now!) Back on topic. I just love this reaction to his 600m headshot https://clips.twitch.tv/AgitatedGenerousEndiveKeyboardCat I hope the new forum embeds more than just YouTube videos...
Yeah, I know you do. I remember the 'potato ears' comment I personally muuuuuuuch prefer it, as do a lot of others as it's massive! The bit-tech one was never official though and never advertised. I found it while scouring the forums trying to see if we had one. It looks like it was never actually set up as it only has 1 text channel...
Had a quick 40 minute play of this yesterday with two solo games, from what I've seen so far it plays quite nicely. I'll almost certainly never be overly effective in this game but I still find it fun to stalk across the map, seeing what loot I can find and making an attempt to get the drop on other players. First game I got to 31st and the second managed to creep up to 21st place. The first game I didn't actually see any other players, I just died because of a tragic case of pressing the wrong button whilst driving and taking falling damage. I probably would have gotten a better score in the second game if I remembered to switch my gun to automatic as well... I managed to get the drop on another player just as they finished another fight but instead of unloading a clip, my gun just shot a single bullet before they tore my face off with a shotgun. Going to give it another session tonight to see if I can improve my aiming and to see if I can get into the top 10 before I start giving teaming up a go.
Took me a while to get anywhere near top 10, and my only win came out the blue, there was no skill involved in it. I only got 1 kill in the entire match and that was the guy I killed to win the game. This game has a learning curve, like remembering to load your weapon when you pick it up, I have been caught out with that before. Never played with anyone else yet, when I get a bit more happy with my level of game play I will look to team up
For me the only thing that catches me out at the moment is forgetting to switch from single-shot to auto/burst in close quarters. I keep getting in the 20's at the moment, haven't beaten my 21st place result yet. I'm quite frequently landing next to a crossbow and micro-uzi combination, works out fairly well for the early game but means I have to really pick my shots well before getting in close.
Has anyone noticed any considerable performance increases? My old 2500k and 970 runs at a solid 60-70fps now apart from the odd occasional drop and in vehicles (fairly low settings though - I might have a play around with them again). Servers still suck balls though.
The game's been performing fairly smoothly on my machine, occasionally the game will stutter ever so slightly if I'm in the middle of a red zone. Servers can get a little bit laggy but I haven't had it go to the point where the game's unplayable yet. Getting a bit better at picking my fights in this game, so far I've done best in squads by playing as a one-man team. 3rd place is my highest rank from playing like that at the moment. Really enjoying the game and looking forward to the new maps when they come out.
