bit-tech 2017 refresh feedback: Bugs and errors

Loftie changed to dark mode and can now no longer access the forums.

On the forum browsing under https, the link to the bit-tech logo is served via http leading to a mixed content error. The offending html is:

<img src="http://www.bit-tech.net/static/public/image/bit_tech_logo.png" alt="bit-tech.net Forums" />

if you want to serve based on the connection type used as you allow people to browse the forums in either mode then you should change it to this:

<img src="//www.bit-tech.net/static/public/image/bit_tech_logo.png" alt="bit-tech.net Forums" />

 

I prefer the dark theme, but I think my ideal would be along the lines of the negative of the dark theme.
So basically so a light theme with a similar level of contrast to the dark one:

Maybe less modern looking, but much easier on the my eyes.

 

Just a little thing: Clicking "Post Reply" with an empty post reply box brings up a general error:

"The following error occurred:
An unexpected error occurred. Please try again later."

...When presumably it should ideally bring up an error related to what you just did.

 

Do you want little bugs like that posted here? If not I'm happy to oblige. I'm really not fussed by such things. Just trying to be helpful, not nitpicky.
