You can't beat Wetherspoons for their prices I find. Rubbish slow service mind.

Ahh Wetherspoons, haunting ground of scruffy-looking slightly-piss-scented old people who'll order a pint at 9am and nurse it until about mid-day ;).

Or is that just the Wetherspoons around here... :worried:

I think thats just any of them, anywhere, Weston, Cardiff, Truro lol they are all the same. Good value though and it seems the place to go at the end of the day come pay day in my new job in Bristol, we literally fill the place of a Friday evening !

Seem to be finding myself in spoons all the time nowadays, mainly cos they have a decent amount of seating I guess.

Also the sub-£3 pints (and food here is generally expensive).

Sure enough the Glen Grant disappeared, so it's been replaced with this:

. Still very drinkable neat, and a fair bit smoother than I was expecting from a ten.

I find the air content of whisky bottles increases significantly when they cross the threshold of my house. It's an odd phenomenon, but one I'm very happy researching.

I tried the absinthe ritual, dripping iced water over a sugar cube into a glass of absinthe. It was so good. My new favorite. Tastes like licorice. But better.

Last week on my birthday, I drank my first drop of wine. I don't how to say what my feeling was. But I think I'd better drink my homemade juice by my electric juice blender.

Got a bottle of the new Ardbeg An Oa. Not priced much higher than the standard 10y.o. (I think it was £6 more than the 10) and while very different in character (sweeter, less smoky) a similarly good drink, so well worth the cost. Seems a solid addition to their lineup. Will have another two drinks tonight to firm up my opinion...
