Well with all the preview critics mostly having nerdgasms. i am going to see it, (Planning to go regardless of anyone's opinion to be honest though), is anyone excited? i know force awakens was abit rehash city but this one is apparently a lot better.

I'll be taking the kids to see it, but that isn't my sole reason for going - I am looking forward to it.

Well, thank god for you.

I'll see it. Whether I'll -go- to see it depends on the girlfriends level of interest.

She's more Star Wars-y than I am, and neither of us are die hard fans, so to speak.

I am, won't be seeing it at midnight due to promising my girlfriend I won't see it on my own before we go together and she's not keen enough to go at midnight haha.

Even for a grumpy old man, there’s no excuse not to have seen a Star Wars. :)

How do you even live in today's world? Literally 50% of all pop culture references originate from Star Wars!

And 80% of pop culture references go right over Kronos' head...

Not to mention 97% of statistics ;)

I've got my tickets for Friday evening - work starts too early for me to go to a midnight showing!

Tbfh, I can't remember why I saw the originals.

I never wanted to when I was younger, I just sort of .. Ended up seeing them. I don't think I'd miss not having seen them, although I have since gone through the "effort" of getting the 'de-lucased' versions.

Got tickets booked for a Thursday evening showing. I am not excited enough to stay up and watch a showing at 00:01, especially not when I get up for work at 06:15.

    It's possible to enjoy both.

Somewhat off topic, maybe a Scrooge McDuck avatar might be more applicable than the tree for you Glenn...

Yeah, I’m going to take a random half day and go see it when it’s quieter, in 3D. Looking forward!

Star Trek or Star Wars is not an either or question, it's which do you want to watch first.

I'll go after work one day, because I sat through Reveng of the Sith and The Phantom Menace, so I can sit through this.

Going Thursday with the wife and our youngest, I can remember taking the oldest to see the Phantom Menace she fell a sleep half way through it. The youngest enjoyed TFA and watches Rebels when its on XD so she's looking forward to this.
