Just had a cheque for £5250.65p drop though my door for a PPI claim which has taken well over 2 years and this from the one bank who I expected not to pay as they have already tried some dubious methods of trying to get me to drop my claim. But a letter from the financial ombudsman has corrected their attitude. Still a few claims more ongoing.

Result! Good work dude! RBS have told me they won't be making a decision until January 10th, not in a rush so don't bother me any, but it'll be interesting to see if they pay out... Could be a nice birthday present.

Got myself a Rift today and I am both happy and disappointed with it.

Fired up Elite and started setting it up and the sense of scale etc is amazing but the performance is really poor and so are the graphics, have posted on the Elite forums to see if I can get some pointers to improve both.

Call me Mr Intrigued of Curiousville.

Now if this is just about a new hat I shall be most annoyed. Well, unless it's a reaaaally dandy hat.

Spoke to the ex wife for first time in nearly 3 years (not bad considering we work at the same place), went well, we hugged, said sorry, had a chat and carried on living.

Didn't need any closure but it's nice to see it's water under the bridge and all that

    I bought an Alienware 15R2.

Wait, this is the Awesome thread.

Bought it for £300 as Spares & Repairs, fixed it up, it's the i7-6820HK unit.

Just waiting on a dell charger (Seller didn't ship one with it!) and an SSD and this thing is going off to the races as my runaround machine for when I'm away from home.

Being very depressed makes it hard for me to feel good about anything. However, my Hutch is almost there.

But dopey here forgot to order the chain tensioners, so now it won't be ride-able until after Xmas. Doh.

However one thing I did fix was the surround system. Which of course is dead autistic and done the hard way. I've been getting some bad hum lately and the right side of the system has been quiet. Move the distro around and it worked but I never really went into it any further than that. I figured the distro box I made was acting up and it would be a PITA to track down. However, turns out it was as simple as removing the cheap RCA cable I threw on it when I built my stereo. I had a spare Rockford Fosgate set I made up a while back and that immediately fixed it. Got The Prodigy singing out at me as I type this.
