Roast leg of lamb here, followed by beef wellington tomorrow when we have family visiting. My wife, before she retired, was a chef and properly qualified at catering college, so it will all be really nicely cooked. :D:D:D

    Merry Christmas.

Lamb is the food of gods. We usually have half a leg when it's just Mum and I, but this year we fancied a change. If I am at home (when I was married for example) we always had a duck. I don't usually bother with Turkey. In fact, it is probably the last thing I would buy. Stupid jacked up prices for something that isn't even really nice enough to be popular the whole year.

    Merry Christmas.

No presents or Turkey here, presents have been abolished in my family after they had devolved into an amazon gift card round robin and Turkey is the stuff in cheap mass produced vending machine sandwiches.

Anti pasti, followed by lasagne, followed by tiramisu.

    Turkey comes tomorrow!

Happy Primary gifting period, and merry auxiliary generosity zone.

To whomever got me a cold for Christmas, I hate you.

    I'm flup!

    Abso-bloody-lutely flup.

I made turkey, with bacon strips, pigs in blankets, roast taters, stuffing, steamed broc and baby carrots, honey roasted parsnips, cauliflower cheese and gurt big yorkies.

    I don't do sprouts.

This is true, alcohol sterilises things so I'm going with stronger the more cleaning it does

    I'm glad they did!

Yuletide felicitations to you all :)

Have had a good day down in Cornwall with the family, lots to eat, lots to drink, lots of ear ache from the cats, wouldn't have it any other way :)

@Mr_Mistoffelees - My house-sized projects are almost done. Work on the turnip will resume shortly.
Aww. I didn't get my Yuletide felicitated again this year.
@legoman - My teetotaler Mom shocked me a few years ago when she made some homemade cough syrup: Honey, lemon juice, and bourbon.

We had chicken roasted with 40 cloves of garlic (it's a French recipe) with home-made bread (for the garlic) and champagne followed by home-made chocolate and almond cake with a nice glass of Recciotto. We also had home-made nutmeg and allspice dark chocolates and home-made rosemary and chees biscuits.

We like to cook and bake.

The famous hot toddy. Had one last night (sore throat); I add some black tea and ginger.
