ECS H81H3-TI2 V1.0 Thin MiniITX board

19v 90W Power brick, which I hope isn't going to explode (I only actually need ~50W, hopefully the overhead should avoid stressing the cheapass components)

And a thin MiniITX case from some company I've never heard of called Phoenix Technologies, which may well be going back in favour of a Silverstone PT13 (I prefer the look this case though, nice and compact without looking like a cheese grater (like the PT13))

Awww Yeah! Absolutely brilliant cases, I love mine so much. You'll really appreciate how good it is when you come to actually build in it, because for the tiny size you can fit one hell of a lot of kit inside with ease. A real joy to use.

Want vs Need you know ;)

The 1070 never really was capable of running 4k60, so I'm sure the Ti will be up to it for Prey and FC5 etc

Building a HTPC by chance ? Interested in your progress if so. Looking to build a low power HTPC myself. My Q6600 system is showing its age and for some reason seems to be struggling with 720 and 1080 content.

Not a Machine Head fan myself but that's a gorgeous box set. And the price is lower than expected, too.

My NiN box set were quite a bit more expensive... still always fills me with joy to look at them.

I'm the same with my Rammstein vinyl set. Massive, heavy, gorgeous boxed set.

I've not bought any Machine Head in years, but the few songs I've heard off the new album are pretty damn awesome, even though some of them are distinctly different to their older stuff.

Nah, this is just a lightweight desktop machine. I just need something that can handle up to 6-8 Chrome tabs, light work in Office, Spotify, and the occasional non-4K video.

It would certainly make a good lightweight HTPC... but I've not long bought an Nvidia Shield TV ;)

Not sure if serious ... but slightly intimidated.

Had a bit of a shopping spree this weekend:

3 pairs of ice skates - sizes 31, 36 (my daughter at 8 can now wear her mothers shoes - she'll be a giant!) and 44 (me and the kids spent most of this weekend iceskating. Lots of fun!)
    3 mixed sports helmets
    3 pairs of winter gloves
    1 Leather belt

And since the kids birthday is coming up:

    1 Lego Ninjago set (70617)
1 Lego Friends ice park set (41322)
    1 pink Barbie convertible car
    2 3D pens (found them at only £6 a piece - a steal!)
1 box of 325 Pokemon cards (eBay)
1 bag of 100 Shopkins (eBay)
    1 Ninja outfit, size 8yrs

Now that I am sinking 5+ hours a day into Fallout 4 I really fancied a decent surround headset. I used to have the most awesome Turtle Beach one and it cost a fortune RRP. Something daft like £200. HPA50? something like that. It had its own amp and you could adjust each channel and the sub etc. It was also painfully loud, which I enjoy a lot.

Then one day after several years one of the channels on the amp started playing up, and eventually I lost sound to the left ear :(

I used to love that thing so much. Especially as it gave a lot of ambience to Fallout 3 that you just don't get without it.

So yeah, taken the plunge. the fact it's its own entity is appealing too, just another sound device for me to switch. Easy peasy.

I got it for a good price on OCUK. So that was my reasoning. The one I wanted was £250 so this @ £159 was in between the other one I was looking at (Strix Wireless return on Amazon for £72), but I hate charging stuff.

I actually contemplated buying the Rammstein box set, but while I like their stuff I'm just not enough of a fan to pay that much. Having said that I paid USD 800 for a book I never intend to read. I guess I'm weird. :D
