Nah - I like Irn Bru, but I don't care enough to cry about it. The BBC comments section was very entertaining - awash with anti-scottish bigots and general ignoramuses making references to deep fried mars bars etc... Very much Nigel Farage mainlining Daily Mail headline ink.

    :)

I think they should enforce Irn Bru over water, the way things have gone I think there's something more dangerous in the taps :)

So, FTL - why that? Never heard of it till you mentioned it.

It's brutal and unforgiving, even on the easier levels, but a whole game can last just a couple of hours (if you're any good - certainly a lot less in the beginning). Bearing that time frame in mind, I have 600+ hours on it.

You can pick it up for a few quid on Steam.

Game I played for hours in the 80's Spy hunter on the C64, also enjoyed the spy vs spy games. I loved playing I think it was an Apache helicopter game it took for ever to load. I think one of my faves the SEUCK, that around the time I suffered with loads of migraines losing feeling down side of my body. After reading up on 8-bit machines and having a go creating sprites and writing text only adventure games, I lost interest and glaring at a cheap tv at home just didn't help. A distant memory not till 2002 I got a need for owning a pc for my kids to familiarize themselves with, but computers had changed a lot:oldconfused:. Still playing catch up now.:dremel:

My fave game was Last Ninja on C64 and second favorite Defender of the Crown.

That's the fella! Didn't play it on the C64 but if I wasn't underage gambling on the arm bandits in the Arcade you could find me on either Asteroids or that in the summer holidays.

Hard to pin it down to just one, but mine would be from the pick below:

    1. Elite on the ZX Spectrum (circa mid 80’s)
    2. Sensible soccer on the Sega Maga Deice (1992 ish)
    3. Gran Turismo on the PlayStation (1997)
    4. Day of Defeat Source on PC (2005)

Might include Unreal Tournament in there too.

Like others have said , hard to pin down just one ... Games that have really blown me away over the years ... I can name a few.

    Bubble Bobble ... ( i grew up in a seaside town so ... arcades a plenty )
Super Mario World ( snes ) ... even spent a whole weekend on Zsnes with it recently with the gf
Final Fantasy 7 ... oh wow.
World of Warcraft ... played from launch until the Lych King. Nothing else has come close imo
Rfactor ... yes it really was that good under league racing.
CSGO ... not the best game ive played but with a good partner / team very very good.

    Just my 2 cents.

Funny how we all see things differently, for me this would be in my games to avoid list :)

A Mind Forever Voyaging, probably. Closely followed by Life Is Strange.

Has to be "The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening" on the original Gameboy at school on your lunch breaks.
