I also remember paying £35 for my TRUE. That was a beast. <3

You’ve got to remember that it has become fairly normal to spend $20 on a single, good fan.

A lot of development goes into the coolers, believe it or not. They aren’t just stacks of fins and a fan anymore.

Much nicer looking than any AIO, with all the bloody wires & tubing that come off their CPU blocks...IMO.

Which is why everyone and their dog buys one of the 555534534543 Coolermaster Hyper 212 variants:
Random one of them for reference:

Pretty much the only company that has been successful with £60+ coolers is Noctua, but they have a long standing reputation for being the best.

BQ are very good too, though. I love my DR Pro 3, which was ace before I got my custom loop back up and running.

Or the excellent Thermalright.Macho Rev. B., or one of the Noctua's

Which brings us to the actual Point, why is there not a single OTHER aircooler in the comparison?

Exactly this. Four heatpipe for 35 quid vs 6 heatpipe for 65, and you'd still have enough $ left over for better fans.
