No doubt gathering information about everything users do and using the information to serve targeted advertising will be a primary thrust of Fuschia, probably with some means included to prevent the use of adblockers.

zircon must be like vmware's hypervisor in ESXi. it's not linux, but it does have busybox on top of it that makes a lot of newbies think it is linux.

Fuscia, like Android and Chrome OS, is open source. If you think they're doing Nefarious Tracking Things, you can not only highlight the code doing it and bask in your global fame, you can also remove it and compile your own version omitting it.

Or we can keep our paranoia in the realms of reality rather than MOON LANDINGS FAKE world, and simply not use the Google Services Framework if you don't want to interface with Google's services.

It's not a hypervisor, but a microkernel; two very, very different things.

    Keep your tin hat on.

BTW, how else do you think they are able to send you targeted advertising?

BTW 2, my original comment was driven by cynicism.

    For Google in general?
    - Webbug tracking (Google Plus buttons, Adwords)
    - Tracking analytics (ubiquitous Google Analytics)
    - Tracking cookies (e.g. Gmail login, Doubleclick)
    - Logins to other sites using Google account
    - Search terms
    - Location tracking (if turned on in Android) via GPS and local WiFi networks

As Chrome, Chrome OS, Android, Fuscia, etc are open source, if you want to use them without the Google components then doing so is trivial even if you don't ever want to look at the source yourself, e.g. Chromium, AOSP, etc. It's not some ineffable property of the OS.
