I have no idea about that I just know what I see. When 980Ti drop down below £250 and you can get a 1080Ti for £540 something very big is happening. I asked some one who mined if it had gone crap and he said "Most cards are no longer profitable".
That's more due to the recent market-wide crash on the crypto scene, it's looking more and more like another bull run is gearing up though, so if you see a cheap (or close to MSRP) GPU now, I would jump on it while you can!
Fortunately I have not needed a GPU. I thought I did, then I broke down a rig with a Fury X in and it's singing now. For everything else my XP just shreds. I've got two very strong rigs now at the resolutions they run which has thankfully been enough
This is refreshing as I'm eyeing up a new graphics card, with the new cards on the horizon it's difficult to know whens a good time to buy. I think we're expecting the new cards in Q3? PUBG on my 7850 is a sad state of affairs, getting a bit desperate.
