Hi All, I need a decently sized minitor at home, basically for document work, the occasional movie, and further down the line, gaming.. It will be primariy run by my XPS13 via a Thunderbold to HDMI adaptor. (for the next few months) I was looking at more expensive Dells, but came accross the AOC Q3279VWF - and I cant work out why a 32" 2560x1440 monitor is so cheap. I know it doesnt have a VSEA mount which will be a pain future, but can anyone give me a reason to not buy this over anything else? it fits the bill and is a stupidly good price.
It will be using a TN panel, guaranteed. The viewing angles won't be great, so make sure that you can sit directly in front of it for the best viewing experiences.
Hexus review says its damn good for the price - so ordered. Guess it can be gifted to Parents in future if I get a better one. EDIT - before this I was on a 2007 24" non-ultrasharp Dell, so IPS vs. TN doesn't really matter all that much for me
Great for the price. Prone to some ghosting, but if you look on the web I'm sure there's some settings that help a bit. Got my nephews one each at Christmas, and it's a damn site better than their old 1080p screens. Oh, the stands a bit flimsy but it does the job.
It is an MVA screen that launched at £200 MSRP late last year, so just a crazy good price (and likely to be a gamble on quality in regards to backlight bleed and so on, but if OP gets it from amazon then that doesn't matter as they don't fight against returns).
I have one, it runs @75Hz flawlessly on an Nvidia 1080Ti - in terms of bang per buck it's a steal @Mankz.
Brilliant. Thanks all. Bought via Scan, as I can pick it up from Currys on Ken High, rather than weekend delivery, or getting it to the office.
Also, you can get a VSEA adaptor for this: here Looks like its just a caddy for the standard alu base, but you could hacksaw the remaining piece off.
Ok, for £200, this screen is so good its a joke... BUT - the box STINKS of Chinese Factory, and whomever designed the screw in base deserves to be shot. Its useless. And will be VSEA'd. BUT. The screen is amazing.
Yup, the box is as you say, I can get my hands on said firearm but the panel... The panel is mind blowing value for money
I've been needing a new monitor for a while, read the reviews on this a couple of months ago then saw this thread and the latest discount and I've ordered one too at £177.
I don't tend to move them around so as long as I can put it on I'll be OK. Which is the best connector to use for this resolution or doesn't it matter? I'm currently using an HDMI to DVI cable (1920 x 1080) and have Dual Link DVI-I, HDMI and DisplayPort 1.2 ports available. Edit: I RTFM. I need DisplayPort or HDMI cables to get the refresh rate of 75Hz otherwise it'll be 60Hz with a DVI connection.
