I'm the same with chilies. I love them, always have (nothing too mental with heat, but I can enjoy eating a jar of pickled jalapenos like it was a snack), up until a couple of years ago I never had an issue. However, now they do all sorts of fun things to my innards. Still love them though and it hasn't stopped me completely...

It's a constant struggle deciding which is greater - your want of a thing, or your wanting to avoid the after-effects of eating said thing...

I think its the morbid pleasure of willingly choosing to make a poor life choice. Like a middle finger to all your ancestors and hundreds of thousands of years of human evolution...

    And Thomas Crapper...

I don't understand some of the above posts. If eating or drinking something makes me ill, then I avoid it in future. Saves a lot of digestive unpleasantness and it's never worth putting up with feeling very unwell for hours or days, as the price of the brief pleasure of eating or drinking something nice.

Something buggered with one of the pistons in our engine.

Money for checking, no idea how much to sort and no doubt hours on the phone with VW to ask them to contribute (ours is not the first it seems...)

    Fecking awesome.

Spoken like a man who has no ****ing clue what good tea is.

Yorkshire tea is proper tea. If you can see through it, you're doing it wrong - go back to orange squash with the kids.

..and you can cram earl grey right up your arse - it's not tea, it's bergomot-infused rat piss.

I was with you until you started talking smack about Earl Grey.

    You, me, outside - now.

No no, Early Grey looks and tastes like dirty dish water- I tried it once in the mistaken belief it might actually taste nice, and I also wanted to be Captain Picard. Never again...

Early Grey is regular tea drank out of a cup that's not been cleaned properly.

And fruit tea. No. It's not tea. It's hot weak fruit juice.

Try it hot, brewed for sufficient time and with lemon.

Otherwise, I respect your opinion, regardless of how wrong it is in this case.

That sums it up pretty well. I tried Earl Grey once, it was foul. On the other hand Darjeeling is nice.

Only if we can agree that any coffee with milk in is a soft-drink.
