At best, the Dems might win the House. The Senate is goner.

Welcome to a year of even more heated rhetoric with both sides claiming that they won, then everyone will start talking about the next presidential election.

I wonder if they'll try forcing Trump to reveal his tax returns and other potential conflicts of interest.

How the hell did the Democrats actually manage to loose seats in the Senate - bizarre.

Because one side had 26 seats up for grabs and the other had 9.

Yeah, most polls and sites like fivethirtyeight didn't give Democrats great chances of gaining anything, let alone getting a majority.

What's good is that some races got pretty tight even in historically very Republican leaning places. Overall turnout was massively higher than usual. In many places Republican candidates only scored a very narrow win despite massive voter suppression tactics.

Pretty sad to see Beto O'Rourke lost against Ted Cruz though. Why would anyone vote for Ted Cruz?

Old ******* doesn't have the strength to do it. On that note has anyone noticed that he seems to be getting rapidly fatter? I don't know if it's just the photography but every time I see his orange mug the guy's necks and cheeks seem to be larger and larger in relation to the rest of his skull.

Statistically the democrats had the greater opportunity to lose more seats, however under the circumstances (Trump being in power) I would have bet on them at least holding the seats they controlled - to lose some is unfathomable.

With a complete moron for president, I cant get my head around the fact that the Democrats couldn't muster enough people to out vote Trump supporters.

looks like the Reps celebrated too early in Arizona, the Dem is actually leading by 30k votes. Also, there will be a recount in Florida (4,098,107 vs 4,085,545).
The wind is blowin', says I.

I’ve just read something about a potential Hillary 2020 bid... Looks like she never learnt to deal with rejection :-/

...and the Democrat has been declared the winner.

Biden and Sanders were the two front runners in a poll of democrats...

...because another old white dude is precisely what's needed.
