The colours of the menus for Tech/Modding/Gaming are a bit odd IMO.

There's the colours for the specific topics Tech = Blue, Modding =Yellow etc, but when you select one, e.g. Gaming, the first row, with the exception of All which is purple, is red. The second row is then purple with the exception of All which is white.

I'd probably say the colours are very in your face, while I like the colour categorisation, having the others as bold as they are seems pretty jarring IMO.

I like the coloured pips on each news item denoting topic.
Date and time stamps are nice.
The switch to the scrolling main news article thingy is nice - I dunno what it's called, carousel?
Edit: All the fonts seem bigger, have the increased?

That's what I get if I look at the main site, but the forum one has expired as of today at my end, and was verified by Let's Encrypt and not Comodo.

Ah, so it has - although for some reason neither Firefox nor Chrome on Ubuntu seem to mind much, 'cos I'm not seeing an error. How odd!

Certificate error is on forums for me, as the cert is issued to images.bit-tech.net:

My cert error is pointing at images.bit-tech.net rather than anything else. Exactly the same as @faugusztin above.

Can confirm the same here, images.bit-tech.net cert has expired.

I had to manually add the forum as an exception for Firefox to allow me to connect.

Just don't forget to get a longer lasting cert so it doesn't break again on the 28th May 2019. :)

I have to agree. They look garish and out-of-place. Suggestions:

    Tech - #04566D
    Modding - #634500
    Gaming - #6D0A02

See I thought of a similar idea - making them lighter and less bold. But then I decided it'd still look a bit like a rainbow, with maybe the best idea being the selected tab being coloured and the others being grey. Obviously this would weaken the link between the article coloured pips to random visitors though.

The worse thing for me though, is once you've actually selected a section.

I think I agree with Gareth, zooming out to 80/90% improves the overall size IMO (1080p). Might make the date stamp a bit small though.
I think I'd also align the date stamp with the text above it. While it looks fine on any article where the text doesn't go right to the bottom, on ones that it does it looks disjointed IMO.
Just noticed it's actually a bit all over the place (also see pic #1)

For me, Firefox seems to have issues displaying the text at 90% at 1080p, I'm seeing slightly coloured sections e.g.

Oh this text, the 'ild' in scratchbuild has a bit of a red hue to it, Opera has no issues. I assume it's down to the way FF does text. TBH I barely noticed it, it was only because I was studying the date stamps that I did.

I'll stop being a PITA now BT team...... for now mwahahahahaha :worried:

Can't replicate in Firefox on Commie Lunix:

Just the standard subpixel hinting visible here.

I assume it's something screwy going on with my FF. After reloading the page to have another look, I can see the text flicking between two different outputs. It looks like someone is flicking two pieces of paper back and form for some cheap animation effect. It eventually settles on the worse of the two 'images', with the hue being visible.

Google drive links, because putting them on imgur or tinypic softens the image and makes it less visible. I'd suggest to download and open rather than previewing them as google also softens it - thought it is still visible.

    Opera has no issues.

Edit: I changed location because the H at the top showed it off pretty well IMO, even though I didn't notice it while browsing.

Edit 2: Opera has the colouring too, but it's much more subtle and doesn't show when viewing the page normally, only when zooming in on a screenshot
