Damn, 49 man. RIP Keith, what an unforgettable artist, performer and inspiration to dance music, the music of my Experience, the Jilted Generation....

Gonna have 3 Kilos and Skylined on repeat today me thinks.

Met him a few times at some BSB races when i was younger and was lucky enought to see Prodigy live a few times and they are easily one of the best live bands i have seen to date.

Very sad to hear about this.

    3 Kilos is fantastic.

I think my fave is the original of Your Love (not the album version) and Pandemonium.

FFS, now we're going to have the grim corpse prodding while people tries to dissect why...

    FFS. :(

I've been told I had a good night out when I saw the Prodigy.

Sad and shocking news, another trailblazer lost

Didn't know the tracks above, so have been listening to them this evening - a really different feel to Fat of the Land (bought it on CD on release), which seems so aggressive by comparison.

Their style changed massively from Experience to Music for the Jilted Generation. Well worth a listen to both albums. Experience Expanded (b side remixes) & MFTJG are on Spotify.

Yeah Experience and pre was proper hard core. With Flint it was like angry punk hard core, though they did dabble in jungle as well. I must admit I wasn't a fan of them when they went mainstream. Now though? well it's like most things, it grows on me slowly over time. I prefer Breathe to Firestarter. I think it's a better tune underneath.

Breathe is definitely the better piece of music, but Firestarter was one of those big turning points in music videos and introducing a genre of music to an audience that otherwise would have missed out.

I have to say, I have torn up many a dance floor to No Good (start the dance) - good times.

God dammit. I think that's another of my CDs that never got returned after being "borrowed".

I don't think they ever knocked out a tune I did not like. Everybody in the place is a cracker too.

    Another great one lost.

Me and my mates went back to a pub we use to go in when we were younger, and turned it in to a Prodigy night at the pub as that is all we use to put on in there when we were in there.

The owner of the pub was a fan as well so when she saw us all turn up for the first time in 10 years, she knew why we were there and made sure those who didn't appreciate the music still managed to have a good night whilst we went mental in the back room which would normally be used for events.

Was rough the next morning, but well worth it.
