    Work purchase, this one:

    upload_2019-3-6_15-55-46.png

Little RGB keypad with mechanical switches, which For Reasons is powered by a Raspberry Pi Zero WH. Which, y'know, overkill much?

The cable comes out of the right-hand side, annoyingly, so I may end up using it as a 4x3 rather than the default 3x4. Going to use it to add keys otherwise missing from my Model F, like Alt. Gr, F11, F12, that sort of thing.

I think you underestimated the size of your radiator by the looks of it, you'll need moar fans for that :)

I'm not getting on with the same powered hub at all. In fact, it's a bit of a nightmare. I've had to remove half of the stuff that was in it :(

Urgh hopefully mine behaves, its mainly so I can run the USB hdd, hub and slow charge a couple of items the dedicated charger port will be for the phone to charge it, or the ipad.

Just trying to tidy things up as I have a flurry of USB leads round the room I keep loosing least with this I can leave them plugged in as needed.

I already have *a lot* of internal USB stuff. Like, tons. I had to buy two 7 port hubs (internal) and even they failed and I had to hard wire 3v into the devices that needed it (or was it 5v? can't remember, either way that works :D )

On the external I had my keyboard (Razer Huntsman Elite) as well as a Asus Xonar U7 external, a Alienware mouse and a Asus Centurion headset. Nothing but pauses with the mouse, disconnects with the keyboard and the sound card crackled badly. Now all that is left in the hub is the keyboard (because it physically won't reach) and my mouse pad (RGB Steelseries). The rest had to be plugged directly into the board.

I've never had any luck with USB hubs tbh.

I dont think ill be loading it quite as much! One port will have the other USB in thats purely there for memory cards an thumb drives though. Rests being attached under the desk out the way.
Keeping both input devices on the PC and the USB mic just to avoid any possible noise pickup.
Its all part of my hopeful desk revamp, at some point ill make a better shelf thing that I knocked together across the back of the desk, its currently some tongue an groove and brackets. I dont really trust it holding weight but it seems fine.

It's fine, they all spin at 15RPM - virtually silent.

I've got one of those chargers, @adidan, (along with a load of other Anker stuff) and it's excellent. I bought it largely 'cos of the Euro adapter it comes with. Makes work travel easier!

Whilst we're on the topic of chargers - has anyone come across a compact Quickcharge 3.0 charger? Mrs_Tad recently bought a phone from abroad and there's no UK charger, and all of the qc3.0 ones seem to be quite bulky with a fixed plug (and the "genuine" OEM replacement seems to be either cheap enough to burn down my house, or mucho dinero)
