Yep, Macron stopping just short of saying: "Just get the f*** out of the EU on 29th March if you want to leave it so badly "

Meanwhile Juncker talking of extension only up to 23rd May
Meanwhile May not ruling out threat of long extension (despite her actions having ruled it out)
Meanwhile huge confusion about MV3 and Indicative votes in the UK
Meanwhile No 10 spokes people waffling worse than Maybot ever has to defend her
Meanwhile all the Tories want May gone
Meanwhile some Tories don't want to be seen with BoJo the defender of rapists

Meanwhile the clock goes tick tock with not one of those muppets proposing any realistic solution.

I'll be entirely un-surprised if the EU27 can't come to a unanimous 'yes' vote on a extension before the UK crashes out.

I've been pretty sure that'd be how it goes since the first EU27 leader said they were getting tired of the situation. I think was actually Macron, too.

Interesting, we've been led to believe if no agreement is made by the 29th then we crash out by default.

But on the 29th it may be that that is actually illegal.

    Soooo. That's a thing.

It's the *********** that continues to **** itself!

Edit: Boy that's a lot of asterisk.

I am very curious how much pointing and laughing the EU27 will do in response to the "We can't leave, it's not legal by our laws" situation.

Emergency debate kicking off today re what the House voted on, what was said and what May is instead wanting to do.

And to throw another spanner into the Maybot, I'm hearing statutory instrument to change exit date would have to be passed by next Monday, so if the EU sticks to its lines about the UK only getting an extension if the WA is passed, then that would mean the WA must pass this week before EU council or the time is up as the order of events would go (UK passes WA, EU members approve extension, UK approves extension, UK passes SI to change exit date).

That sounds way too much like everyone doing their job efficiently and promptly.

Tory MP saying one person's 'short' is another person's 'long' and vice-versa.

    Making great headway. :thumb:

    The alternatives:

    Crash out with no deal
May manages to get her deal through parliament
May manages to dupe EU into believing she can force her WA down our throat at a later date, then it will be either No deal or May WA (with delay)

    The 2nd option looks unlikely
The 3rd option looks very unlikely

So do their bloody jobs efficiently and promptly or crash out with no deal it is.

Although that may be illegal so it may be none of the options are options.

The waters just get muddier. I'm glad i've got nothing planned for the 29th.

And dealing with the legal fallout will be really fun (for those who just want to watch the world burn) when we've technically left on the 29th and the "PM in name only" will be reduced to governing by Civil Contingencies Act to extinguish the worst of the immediate problems.

    May giving a statement soon.

I imagine she's going to address the public in order to rile and scare them into clammering for her 'deal' that the nasty old democratically elected parliament don't like.

    Do one May.

The Black Knight said: "You have a simple choice to make between my deal, my deal and my deal..." but Captain Ahab sailed out to his allotment before she opened her mouth and Colonel Nicholson just kept shouting #indyref2.
