He's not wrong, but 17.4 is still bigger than ~6.

That's exactly what May and her boneheads will, and have said, say.

Unless, by 16:30 next Monday, another 11 million have signed the petition to revoke A50, there is no chance of anything changing.

TBH I don't even think that would sway Tories.

I mean they go by the logic - vote a bad 'deal' down, vote a bad 'deal' down, talk about passing that 'deal' if the PM resigns.

Constants are variables and variables are constants when it suits them.

Oh, yeah, IMO the only way to change a Tory mind is to sit them on a big metal spike and tell them you won't remove them from said spike until they reconsider.

Although, temper that with the knowledge that torture only gets you what you want to hear, not necessarily correct information, or an actual change of mind.

TBH that sounds more like part of a Tory initiation ceremony.

Nigel Farage. The man who instigated brexit rather than just ask his German wife for a divorce.

That's pretty much been their stance all throughout:

May's/Tory Brexit is terrible, give us a GE so we can try for the exact same thing.

Yeah, not fan of a GE - if we had PR maybe but not really.

Tory MPs have a free vote, except the Cabinet who are abstaining.

Doesn't matter what MPs think. It only matter what Bercow thinks in that regard.

Apparently offering to resign is putting the country before party...

    Yeah, odd logic.
