    Just need to MOT my CBR125R this month. I'm keeping an eye on the temperatures next month. Once it hits 18-19deg I'm on the bike. Been itching to ride.

    Still my NC750X (manual, none of that DCT weirdness)

    [IMG]

    Not the fastest or most exciting bike out there, but it's an absolutely solid day-to-day bike - exactly what I need in something I ride pretty much every day in all weather.

    I've been puncture-free for a couple of weeks now - fingers crossed!

    Behold, gentlemen: the ancient incantation to summon all manner of nails, screws, barbed wire, broken glass, caltrops, screwdrivers, and other Poynted Thynges into thine path.

    Yay.

    It's totally different to anything I've ridden before, even my old Honda Shadow cruiser, the test ride was the couple of hours ride back after paying for it and aside from the clutch being a tad heavy it's bob on.

    [IMG]114ci by MrLongbeard, on Flickr

    114 'sit down & hold on's' OK fast it ain't, it's still being run in but it'll get to above the national speed limit quick enough and just sit there rock steady with no bother barely ticking over at 2k, redline is around 5.5k, for sure I did immediately miss the extra 5,000 rippums I had on the Striple, but adjust your brain and enjoy the ride and where you used to find yourself stretching into triple digit speeds you start enjoying the ride @ 60-70mph.

    Thankfully the previous owner had got rid of the tow hitch number plate arrangement and stuck a yank one instead, with a black backed plate too so that's saved me one job.
    He did also fit a sissy bar & luggage rack, but it's quick release so once I sourced a few bolts that's going on ebay.

    The mirrors are the worst I've ever tried to use so they're going, other jobs include new end cans, new indicators front n back and fit a brake light, but no rush.

    Some hate the headlight, I love it.
    It fits me like a glove, it goes, stops and turns well, and I've never been so popular when I pulled into the pub to have a pint by the river

    I once had a dream to do DAS & get Z750s - like many of my dreams, it never happened.

    Aren't they mandatory in the UK?
    That should be what it's about, anyway... not balls-to-the-wall between sets of lights - mebbe just me, then? Nice mount, either way.

    EDIT:
    OUCHIES...! Late in the day but I just saw about yer spill; take it easy on yer Hog.

    Yeah, brake lights are a requirement.
    This has them as part of the rear indicator's, looks tidy but I don't trust most car drivers to see them.

    How do you find it with regards to how you're treated by other road users versus something more... crotch-rockety?

    Fair enough! Wondered if by virtue of being a bit more substantial, you felt gyou were given a wider berth by others on the road.

    Whilst I do long for something with two wheels, the vulnerability added to the number of clowns on the road allowed to pilot things with four or more wheels terrifies me.

    I take as much or as little room as I want, ain't not no one coming past me when I'm on a bike so I've never worried about being given room, but I've been riding a litre + bike for 13 odd years before this one.
    A good offense is the best defence.

    Ride confident & expect 4+ wheeled users to be a-holes... if they aren't, it's a bonus.

    Just as there are some Ferrari/Porsche etc drivers who drive their cars within the limitations of the Highway Code, there will equally be CBR/GSX-R etc riders who do the same. If you want to drive with your nethers in charge of yer brain, take it to a track-day.

    Finally got round to repairing my RST1000 after it's tip-over, so now I started my season a bit late :grin:

    Did a trip at the weekend.

    Didn't realise BikerPics.co.uk would just happen to be nestled in a bend on a road that I just happened to be driving on... (The A44 near Ponterwyd, since you asked...)

    It me!

    [IMG]

    Just don't look too closely and you won't see how bloody messy the bike is...

    Tempted to buy the full res shot...

    I've been tinkering.
    Looks 100% better, but YouTube may have lied about how loud they are. :whistle:

    But as an early 'before' tease see the OEM indicator / rear / brake light side by side with the replacement O0 ;

    [IMG]Side by side by MrLongbeard, on Flickr
    That should tidy things up.

    Seat off, not a lot of room under there, I'm going to have to get creative with the dash cam DVR when I put it in.

    [IMG]IMG_20190621_111932 by MrLongbeard, on Flickr

    Hooky workshop manual says the tank must come off to swap out the front indicators;

    [IMG]IMG_20190621_114607 by MrLongbeard, on Flickr

    The manual lies, but it'll give me more room to run sat nav and dash cam cables neatly and out of sight.

    OEM obligatory before shot of levers and 1970's council house indicator;

    [IMG]IMG_20190526_130500 by MrLongbeard, on Flickr

    After, much more sexiness, diddy inicator (but ruddy bright) and blacked out expensive Oberon shortie lever;

    [IMG]IMG_20190621_131941 by MrLongbeard, on Flickr

    Side by side comparison of the arse end;
