Since we're still on the same session of parliament sholdn't Bercow reject it out of hand? Unless they've got those mythical fundamental changes.

You'd think so but the media have been rather quiet on that issue.

I dunno what you guys are talking about, there's quite clearly a 4 this time. It is in fact, overwhelmingly different.

Maybe she's going to announce it in another accent? Maybe with a hat and fake moustache?

I still don't understand how she can do it, IDK what the difference between a motion and a bill is but i guess it must be legit otherwise people would be kicking up a stink....motion...stink...get it? :D

To the best of my knowledge -

    What's been happening is:

Should the withdrawal bill in its current form go to a vote that would make it law : y/n?

What Maybot is trying this time:

Here is the actual bill that will become law, shall we make it law: y/n?

Though some people argue that you can't do B without first getting a 'yes' from A [as 'A' is the 'meaningful vote' stuff and is the thing that has been laughed out of parly 3 times already]

    Corbyn-Labour in a nutshell imo.

Won't vote for the thing because it's bad and will make people angry... but won;t vote against it because that will make people angry...

...so they abstain. Which makes people angry.

Then stand up and go 'why are you angry? we've been perfectly clear...' which makes the angry people even more angry.

    ['Thing' being the withdrawal bill]

I'd expect legal challenges to happen over the difference between "can do it without an aye" vs "can't do it due to having gotten no three times", that is provided the idea even survives until June (weak and wobbly no 10 announcing now that something will happen in June allows for about 23345 u-turns)

So It's EU elections, scare the bejesus out of Labour and Conservative MPs, hold vote no.4 and then run away to leave it for someone else to sort out. The question is will May just walk or call a GE and then walk?

I imagine it'll be end the session. Start a new session. Get a new leader. Force a hard Brexit.

Rich people will laugh, poor and non-rich people will suffer.

Neither... my view is [still] she'll need to be dragged out of No 10 kicking, screaming and/or hissing in binary.

Abstaining? It would be very brave of them to be that cowardly.

It would perhaps be the ultimate irony if the Tories could win a GE by a landslide despite the electoral poison that is the Maybot simply due to Labour being silly enough to abstain on MV4.

It's quite amazing that Labour have been able to be so poor when the Tories have been imploding.

Let's not fall into the trap of believing that the European Elections being defined as a pro-brexit result by virtue of the Brexit Party's result is a done thing yet:

It'll be interpreted to mean whatever those interpreting it want it to mean... just like the Local elections...

Though fwiw, iirc based on current polling UKIP 2.0 look set to get fewer seats than UKIP v1 did last time around. So if you view the Brexit Party as the party that UKIP were last time around, they may lose seats.

Aye, alot of seats went to Pro-EU parties and Independents and yet that was apparently a sign people just want Brexit done, not that people have changed their minds and/or are concerned about local issues.

Farage will bluster a load of hot air no matter what.
