New cpu's. New gpu's. Why do I suddenly feel itchy? A niggly little itch. Right up there, up in the grades. :worried:

Radeon 5xxx I don't care about right now. Other than more technical details on RDNA, please.

    I know... June 10 @ E3.

Pretty sure everyone can just start using "days that Dogbert is on holiday" as a guide to new GPU releases.

AMD compared it to the 2070 in Strange Brigade (a title that is very well optimized for AMD cards), as such we already know that AMD is still very far away from having an answer to the 2080TI.

They never said that the early Navi cards would be just that. That's always been talked about to be released in 2020.

That's not what my wallet said. 500 Euros for the CPU, 150+ for a board (guesstimation) and the same for RAM. But that should get me over the next 3-5 years again.

Ryzen 3 (maybe 5), B550 board + cheap-ish kinda low clock 16GB of RAM? Possible.

I thought the first Navi cards were supposed to be aimed squarely at the the mid/high market (leaving the Radeon VII as the "enthusiast" option)? Successors to Polaris, basically?

    Exactly.
However the difference is that now it is confirmed unlike before where it was basically just rumours.

Ah, get'cha! To be fair, even if it's more like RTX2060 performance in normal circumstances, and comparable in price, it'll at least be another option.

I'm more interested to see how the efficiency improvement claims hold up, personally - That will be a good indicator as to whether or not the architecture can scale up to 2080/Ti performance later down the line.
