    No, you're telling me he's a fibber? That's truly shocking. ;)

So who's looking forward to Doris dusting of the old record of taking back control, first it was from the EU and now it looks like it's going to be from parliament. It should be amusing to see how leave supporting MPs spin the idea that people voted for the return of sovereignty to parliament even though it always was only to then expect them to vote to takeaway that sovereignty from parliament.

Vote to take back the control you never lost only to then ask people to vote to take away that control will be the con-trick of the century if they pull it off.

"Following the second referendum rejecting Brexit, in order to execute the Will of the People who voted for Brexit, we will be taking back control from the people. Bunch of unelected citizens trying to tell us what to do!".

We may indeed be unable to definitely rule out the possibility that I share the common opinion that the relationship between Doris and the truth could be tenuous at best.:)

Most people don't understand what a "representative democracy" is and "parliament is sovereign" means. Boris will simply justify it by saying that parliament was not respecting the will of the people, so he had to intervene.

It's always someone else's fault, remember? Even now Gove is calling the "EU's refusal to negotiate wrong and sad", as if it was the EU that reneged on the WA, and is pushing for a no-deal Brexit. When the **** hits the fan end October, they have their scapegoats lined up.

Hence the so totally not going to happen even though everyone know it's going to happen GE being framed by de Pfeffel et al as 'people vs politicians'.

"You the people want brexit, but the pesky liberals/remoaners/elites/politicians of parliament want to deny you your wish..."

Do people believe any of this shite bojo, Gove et al are spouting?

    People vs Politicians my arse.

FFS. And day one after crashing out, we can only talk a trade deal if we settle citizen status, monies owed and the border issue. The exact same place where we are but starting from a worse position.

    FFS. FFFS. FFFFFFFFFFFS!

So many of them seem to be willing to endure poverty and hardship untold as long as the foreigners all go away.

Oh they're in for a shock once Bojo starts talking about opening our borders to our Commonwealth brothers to reduce the labour crisis.

Well, BoJo has already dropped the 100,000 immigrant cap. He also has stated that EU immigrants already settled will have unconditional right to remain (not because he cares, but because he is not one for having to deal with technical problems and details). So yes, I expect that there will be a loosening of visa restrictions. Leavers won't care because they think of (White) English-speaking Canadians and Australians (until they start outcompeting them for jobs); of course they don't realise it means Indians as well.

And the prerequisite for any new trade deal with anyone - allow our citizens and companies easier access.

The immigration 'arguement' has been one of countless red herrings.

    Especially countries like India.

So in their desire to get rid of the immigrants and brown people, they'll likely end up with more immigrants, who just happen to be brown.

Looks like our government is quiet literally launching a Ministry of Truth, Gove is launching a 'rapid rebuttal unit' to quash no-deal 'myths and half-truths' (Telegraph, Express).

i'm assuming he's using the lesser-known meaning of 'quash', the one that means 'spread'.

Well, as recent events have demonstrated, ignorance is strength and freedom is slavery.
