Trying to sell a house whilst Boris Johnson and Sajid Javid keep flip-flopping on stamp duty "plans", stagnating the entire property market for an indeterminate amount of time until something is set (or isn't, who knows?)

I'm a fortune-favours-the-brave sort of guy so intent on pushing ahead regardless, but it appears most potential buyers are taking the "let's wait and see" approach :/

I have recently moved to the relative countryside and i've been away by a lake for over a week now so i guess i'm double dosing.

    Explains a lot.

Please all bare with me while i overdose on nature.

I mean bare as in hang on rather than it being a skinny dipping invitation.

Are you sure you don't mean bear as in hang on as opposed to a large, furry mammal? :p

Had my HR meeting, as expected, usual waffling of my performing poorly, may have a verbal warning, may not, ZFG, carry on and brass it out until I find something else.

Boxes for the desktop PC group test just arrived. Seven of 'em. All at once. Which I then had to carry up two very awkward flights of stairs.

The floor in the office is now a distant memory, and it's all gone very Mr. Trebus.

Office toilets have "erupted" and the aircon is now circulating the smell.

I used to work in a place with a filtered and temperature controlled, positive pressure ventilation system. When the wind was in just the wrong direction, it would draw in the stink from a nearby pig farm.

Hang on, I've only just noticed that the final vertical completes two lines, but only one line disappears. WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS TO ME?!

Lucky you. My workplace has an abbatoir about a mile away, and a pump to raise our drains to sewer level. Sometimes, both become noticable at the same time.

Ah we have annual spreading of chicken manure, the smell is a mixture of overly cheesey wotsits and poo.

They have "stabilised" the situation. Turns out the issue was in the ladies so they have closed all bar one set of toilets so that's about 3000 people using one set of loos. Pleasant!

I'd never have guessed until I moved here, the smell of mushroom farms is absolutely rancid. Mix that up with hot humid days and you'll be gagging depending on the wind direction.

Ah, muck spreading! I've lived in rural Somerset for most of my 55 years and the smell of cattle manure on fields, is something I am well used to.
