I not usually comment here but in this case I ended up finding this build log and noticed the wood water reservoirs. THIS is something I´ve been thinking about for so long trying to figure out how to make them waterproof. I ended up thinking about doing them with a layer of epoxy resin. Doing it in two steps and making the final machining once the epoxy was poured over the wood. Only entered this build log to see that you came up with the EXACT same technique. So satisfying to see that someone came up with the same idea, doing it and finally seeing that it can work and looking it finished.
I was thinking about doing a distro plate with wood also, are you going to implement something like that?
Really, really nice work man and again, so, so, so satisfying to see someone doing an idea that has been rounding my head for so many months. You know that moments you´re going to sleep but your brain storms you with 1 billion ideas to do... xD.
Looking forward on this finished build. Let us see something more of these beauties of reservoirs .

I made another group wire holders walnut.

 

• Grinding and polishing

Because the CNC's knife marks make the surface become matte
The water tank section, using sandpaper #400 to start grinding.
In order #600 #800 #1000 #1200 #1500 #2000 #3000 #5000 #7000 To the surface is completely transparent.
Need a lot of time and patience.
After polishing, finally, spray 3 layers of HS grade transparent protective paint to achieve complete sealing in the entire appearance.

The idea of the wood tank has been in my mind for a while, and this project just fits my concept, so it starts.
I also thought for a long time before I decided to do this.
It’s just that the polishing work of this method will be very time consuming and patient hahaha...

New design side panels, let the wood on the back of the tank be exposed.

• Leather

C700M classic four brackets will cover the leather.
With the overall black design concept, the bracket is polished and sprayed with matt black paint.
Make samples using paper, leave more than 5mm width on the border, subsequent drilling and sewing.

G.Skill Trident Z Royal's silver and gold are too gorgeous, so I have newly electroplated black nickel, laser engraving Logo processing.

Because the whole interior is a hollow perspective design, so cable management is very difficult,
I use the walnut side panel as the groove for the cable, and walnut cable comb.
I hope the cable looks clean.

• Sewing

The cut leather is trimmed and polished first.
Then start punching, using the puncher and hammer, it takes a lot of time and patience to complete.
The last waxed twine begins to be sewn.
There is a piece of leather laser carved with the name of the work on it.
