Not making it awesome yet, but in the process of applying for a project management position in an esports organisation. Finally a position I feel excited about on a personal and professional level. Fingers crossed they're interested.

Just need Wales to smash the boks and set up an all NH final. That'd be bloody marvelous.

    [edit]
    In other news:

I've just found out my 3200MHz RAM will run at 4500MHz. So, that's nice :)

Played my first AFPS tournament for roughly 15 years last night. Lost both matches, enjoyed myself tremendously. :)

Finally received the refund for my faulty car bought on Aug 1st and notified faulty 8 weeks ago.
Money back and some expenses covered, not the 2 120 mile round trips to take the damn thing back and go to hand the paperwork back today.
It WAS faulty, has been repaired, but don't trust the engine. Look up VAG Mk2 1.8 TSi oil fault...it drank 4L in 3 weeks / 950 miles!
Now, to decide what to buy next. Petrol, estate, reliable...

    Mk4 Mondeo.

In my 5 years of ownership, aside from the usual running costs and things that were my mistake, I replaced one £40 piece of fuel line, the EGR valve (£40, new) and one coil-on-plug. Until I started driving it like I stole it, I'd see ~550 miles per tank, which was pretty good for a 2l petrol.

Also, holy hell, it could fit anything in it. I never found anything I couldn't do with it apart from excessive speeding. It was boring as all sin to drive (it was like driving an average comfort sofa), it was absolutely massive (I had the estate, ofc), and it was silver. That last one is possibly more of a personal thing.

Plus, it's a ford. When something goes wrong, the parts are dirt cheap.

    Danke schön @liratheal
My friend who's an engine builder said just that!
Mk4, 2007 on by the look of it... I'd want an estate again as I cart around all sorts of stuff and tow semi regularly.
2L petrol sounds good, I'll see if I can find one with good spec and trim and have a go.

A former CS pro who used to work for ESL in a very high position for years is doing his own thing now. He's currently looking for some support in setting up new business avenues as well as developing and implementing strategies to use those. I don't this whatever he's doing now has a name yet. ;)

I'd aim for at least a 2008 reg - The 2007 ones (I had one, 57 plate) are early reg and their parts list is kind of weird in Microcat, which made it annoying to track parts down with 100% certainty, but the 08 onwards are better because Ford had made the full switch to the Mk4. Less returns for mk3 stuff. Over six years ago now I paid 6k for mine at ~80k miles, so you should be able to get a more recent one for decent money!

Plus, some of the newer models might be available with the same power (Mine was 145) with more economical engines :D I forget when they started doing the econetic stuff.

Watercooling tubing and fittings ordered and should be here Tuesday so hopefully I'll be putting a 9590 and a 1045t under water with 960mm of rad space next week. Based on looking at the top 1045t on hwbot it only uses a 240mm next to a window at night so with my air conditioner there is a very slow possibility I could get the fastest 1045t

No - I didn't see all of it, but it seemed to me that SA focus was on killing the game and stifling Wales' game plan at the cost of all else. Wales were reduced to kicking and rucking - their running game was for nought.

SA really have no limits on how ugly they're willing to win, but they'll need a better plan against England. Still, if England do win, they'll do it by taking the big three SH scalps on the way. I do remember 2007 and I know how dirty SA will get to grind out a win, so it could be a tense time.

IIRC if England do win, they'll have beaten every team in the SH equivalent of the 6 nations [The Rugby Championship, Tri-nations as-was] in the process - Argentina [Groups], Australia [Quarters], NZ [Semis] and, potentially, South Africa.in the Final
