Took a while for Talktalk to hobble over and get the broadband moved to my current home. Landlord's intertubes was more of a case of "nope" and "well crap half a meg in and wishful thinking out". Now I get ~72Mbps in, ~19Mbps out.

Small world. Guy I'm working with used to have a Mk1 Focus RS, also has a Ford thing, and speaks pretty good English.

Got my Taurus ErgoX assault bike delivered today, did my first session on it. This'll be hard as ... but a lot of fun as well.

Can't see where we talked Ford recently, but have bought a '60' plate Mk4 Mondeo Estate for 1/2 the last car's price. Should be collecting it tomorrow as they're servicing it and doing the MOT advisories, so it has a clean sheet.

Saw a duty worker today at the psychs. Nice bloke, certainly listens and so on.

Got an appointment with the lady who runs the whole show on the 24th. Which is good. Why do I feel awesome? Because I've done all my crap and now I can hide away for a few days. I hate having anything on the calendar it just does my head in. I wake up every 30 mins. It's like being awake. Oddly if I have nothing to do and nowhere to be it really helps, as my mind can be quiet.

Any way, I think I'm starting to bounce back. Cold is finally gone (which I now think was flu as I've never had a cold for 3 weeks) and things are looking up.

Brother is coming Monday can't wait to see him. He's going to help me get out of the "4 bikes laying around my mother's house that I didn't quite think through and now can't cope with it" problem and yeah, things are looking up.

Don't ever let your obsessions cloud your judgement and awareness of space.... Poor mum :(

It'll be a weight off my mind just to have them out of sight, yet very much safe.

I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised getting home last night. I thought it would be a nightmare, but it wasn't too much longer than a normal Thursday. Left Canal street about 5:15 and got to the top of Bilborough (up near Strelley village) about an hour later (still pretty crappy for a 4.7 mile trip...). Most routes were blocked up, but I thought that I'd risk getting shot and go down Alfreton road out of town, worked fine. A bit sticky down at Bobber's Mill bridge, but nothing too scary, it was worse up by the Asda on Strelley Road.

Loads round my parts was flooded - daughter's school closed after the village was already impassable (just for cars, fortunately). The Epperstone bypass was just about the way to get through this side of town, which meant it was moving at approximately 1.5mph.

I took a few "closed" back roads to avoid the bypass and retrieve the littl'un which were 12-18" deep in parts. What looked to be a 5-series attempted to follow for a bit. Eventually stopped, hopefully because they realised they had made a poor choice, and not other reasons.

Gareth continues to write for 1001 various sites/magazines, but Bit is no longer amongst them.

A wonderful Scottish sentiment, I haven't heard that for years!
My aunt's father used to say that when I was young, and it was a long time before I knew what it meant literally.

I'll second that to you GH

    Half-life Alyx trailer.

I'm so excited for this. I've been waiting for this longer than I've been married.
