Got lucky with the 20% off ebay and the miniscule amount of time that ebuyer price matched the rest of the country for an ADATA XPG SX8200 pro 512GB nvme drive for my hp envy 13 laptop - i paid £52.27 for the drive which as far as i can tell is cheaper than it's ever been and is likely to be for some time - currently £56.99 on amazon so am pretty chuffed, especially as it arrived next day.

Also the laptop was new(ish) - was an ex-display in Currys marked down from £729 to £549.97 and they were offering another 20% off as well so paid £439 - well i will as i get 6 months interest free as well. Ryzen 5 2500u with vega 8 gfx and 8gb ram - had a 128gb ssd in hence the upgrade and now i have a little light gaming machine - runs deus ex human revolution, dead space and i imagine pretty much anything else as long as i'm willing to turn the eye candy down a notch or 3. Am well impressed at how much progress thin and light laptops have made since i bought one last.

    Probably, more importantly

    Trashcan of doom!

Full list, some very very welcome additions such as the annihilator, becasue you need 4X AC10 or 4X Gauss rifles, wonder if I could make the fabled Gausszilla? 5 Gauss would ruin most peoples days

Is that one of those 'impossibly small cases' that gets filled with 'exceedingly toasty (with no ventilation) hardware'...? :p

    Couple of random bits:-
    • El-cheapo LAN tester (£8.99 from Toolstation if anyone else needs one)
    • A "Drawing Tube" for bringing posters etc home safely from events.

However it might weigh the same at 3.6kg. That's to be expected given its got 5mm thick walls machined out of solid blocks of 6061 aluminium.

The one thing I didn't like about my Oculus Quest was the head strap and its fit on my giant noggin, so behold...the Frankenquest!!

It's an expensive mod since the Vive deluxe audio strap sells for around £100 but it was worth it for the much increased comfort and sound quality, just bought a £10 set of 3D printed adapters off eBay to attach it to the Quest and it's good to go!

April 2020, so I expect summer.

I think so at least for each of the pieces. They were originally planning on casting, but couldn’t get it to work. Think they are now CNCing each of the components and front / back panels.
